It was our first time there today, and it was nice. Extremely affordable, which I can appreciate. I really enjoy finding small local theatres to support. So I came here. The only thing I didnt like was when I was waiting for my friend to be done using the restroom so we can leave, one of the older woman in your staff, saw me holding a personal cup I had brought with me, of water. I did see the sign on the door saying no outside food or drink because I can understand you want people to spend your money with yall because you're already getting a good deal. But my friend AND I both spent over $30 in popcorn, sodas and candy. So I just think it was an unnecessary comment to make when she said "next time dont bring that." Sternly. Definitely tell your staff to not be rude and treat the people with respect. Like oh we would really appreciate it if next time you dont bring this kind of cup. And had an open conversation. The lady was just rude. Even my partner said so. Like i dont think it was needed. Most families especially with kids, theyre definitely gonna bring a huge purse with whatever in it. Little bites, Breast milk, etc There's no way that the family of 6 that walked in brought nothing but the clothes on their back yk. I think you could've been a little gentler in your demeanor if you're gonna enforce it. I get the reasonings but idk... anyway if you want cheap tickets, 2000s feel, good time then come to State Cinemas, id come back but I just feel I had...
Read moreI love the theatre and seats plus cost and movie venue. However, The use of cell phone use was very distracting. The ring and not just one or two. The bright lit up screens. And notifications example (No lightening detected). I asked why as it was Sunny outside, I had just gone to the bathroom. I quote was said to me " I could be Charlotte.". I absolutely think there should be a cut off from a normal human being and being able to sit through a movie without looking at your phone or leaving it on to disturb other patrons of your establishment. If they are giving a reason that there may be a emergency in the family what happened when we didn't have cell phones Goodness Me I don't think it was a state of emergency. And maybe someone should not come to the movies if there is a loved one dying and they need to have their cell phone on to bother...
