Don’t even waste your time reading this, go now and get in line to eat!! You will not be sorry! I am so sorry we didn’t start going here years ago when they opened, I feel robbed to have lost time with them!

Ok, so it is just a breakfast spot and a few lunch items during the week. Breakfast/brunch is all the rage and most of the nicer chain restaurants that specialize in this are pretty expensive. Not only is this place fantastic, it is priced so fairly that I’m scared to even say it in this review because they may decide to raise their prices… But I’ll be back even if they do!

Since we had never been and because, why not… We ordered a little of everything to give it a try. My wife loves eggs Benedict, and she approves of theirs after eating it on Saturday morning! We also tried a pecan Belgian waffle, French toast, scrambled eggs with sausage patties, and hash brown casserole. Not to mention a couple slices of sourdough toast just to give it a try. Again, we ordered a lot of food and all of it was excellent breakfast fare!

We are already planning our return visit this coming Saturday! We’re gonna stick with the French toast, eggs, Benedict, and I think I’m going to go for one of the chimichanga breakfast things!

It’s a small restaurant and very tight seats, however, they turn the tables over quickly and everyone was in a good mood. They told us our wait was going to be about 20 minutes at 9:30 on Saturday morning and it ended up being more like 30 minutes, but that’s OK. Oh! Our server was a lady named Savannah and she did an excellent job and we thoroughly appreciated her good service!

Run don’t walk! To those about to nosh,...

So this may just be me, I actually looked to see if others had commented but “Maria” the waitress has been SO rude to me and the people who accompany me each time I’ve been there. She was not only inattentive, but I literally had to get up to ask for condiments, she rolled her eyes at my small child ( 10 month old) for just being there I guess? we were limited on refills, never asked if the food was okay, I felt rushed, etc. just overall bad experience. All fine and good I just won’t eat here again, BUT someone needs to address the way the pushed my. Child’s hand away from her. If you don’t like kids that all good but she’s 10 months old and doesn’t understand that you don’t like her so MAYBE you should just back up if you don’t want her accidentally touching you. Ps I never leave messes but I did just for you this time Maria, since misery loves company. You achieved your goal of making us uncomfortable so I wasn’t helping you at all. You don’t deserve the dollar tip I gave you because I didn’t want to leave zero. I am willing to go out of my way for people who are kind but you are far from that. I also will be reaching out to management. I only refrained from saying something there because me and my friends were so...

My best friend eats here once a month before a commute to Charlotte early, early in the morning. This has been his schedule for a couple years now. After today, I knew I Just Had To come on here... He called me on the drive back like usual and told me what he had for breakfast. And for the fourth time In A Row, he (unknowingly, I am the one who noticed it) said ," You know, I think this was the BEST breakfast I EVER Had!". Obviously I told him he says that EVERY month when he goes to Hen and Egg. It actually IS true though. I go with him sometimes. Their door absolutely, completely, totally slaps. It is breakfast perfectly done. Everything we have ever eaten here has been excellent. And it is fairly priced. The servers are kind and attentive. That is hard as packed as this place gets at certain times. So if someone invites you to the Hen and Egg, go. If you are looking for a perfect breakfast, go to Hen and Egg. The ONLY thing I would suggest, is if you are unfamiliar with their busy times of day, maybe give a call if you do not have time to wait. Although, I have only ever had to wait less than 10 minutes, you might want to be sure if you have time constraints. But definitely, give them a try. It is...

Was in town renewing my driver's license (that's a whole different review 🤣) and wanted to grab a bite and found this little place downtown. It was very busy for late morning on a Thursday, but I snagged a seat at their small coffee bar and got to sit next to some of the sweetest regulars. Even with it being so busy and the system going down, the food came out so quick and it was so delicious. I got the Lemon Crepes and bacon, they were cooked so perfectly. I also got over medium eggs, unfortunately they were very over easy, luckily I was so full it didn't bother me. I would have paid more for the food, it was so good. If I ever find myself back in town I will definitely stop by again.

Hen & Egg in Newton is an amazing spot! They were crowded, but we only waited a few mins for a table. Waitresses were all great - quick & efficient. They even have a coffee bar with espresso drinks, my Hazelnut latte was very good. We both had eggs benedict: mine with lox and my wife had California style. They were both perfect, and the hashbrown casserole was great too. There was about 10 things from the menu we wanted to try: all types of crepes, Monte Cristo, stuffed French toast and lots more. It all looked great as it passed our table to other guests. I give them a definite 5-star rating and worth the drive. We will definitely go back, and often!
