We were looking for a new source of bird feed. After driving by for decades, we finally stopped to see how their prices compared with other local retailers. We were surprised to see the variety of bird seed and feeders for sale. The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable, and answered our questions regarding the best seed for our birds.

When we mentioned that our squirrels consume more seed than our birds, Chase suggested some Droll Yankees feeders with perches that will breakaway when a squirrel tries to grab hold. We purchased a Droll Yankees Whipper bird feeder, two Droll Yankees Dipper feeders, and a Stokes Finch screen feeder.

We love watching our birds but it’s more entertaining watching the squirrels trying to get to the seed. We love the old wooden floor in this vintage structure.

This little feed store in the heart of Newtown is The Best! In addition to a wide selection of bird seed and feeders, this family owned business is so knowledgeable and friendly. I go out of my way to go there to purchase seed for my bird feeders. Jeannie, her husband and her son Chase, along with their other employee (sorry, don’t remember his name) bend over backyards to help me purchase what I need. In a time when the big box stores and big chain stores reign supreme, it is refreshing to be greeted by name and with a smile. Their prices are great and they carry my purchase out to my car and load it for me. They also sell dog food and supplies which I will start to purchase also. Best place in the area to buy bird feeding supplies. They’re knowledgeable about all kinds of feeders, and they will gladly help you with any questions you have about making your backyard an oasis for our feathered friends. I went in there recently to purchase things to keep the birds in my backyard well fed while I go on vacation. The staff had loads of suggestions. The other kind thing they do every time I shop there is carry heavy bags of seed out to my car. I don’t have to ask; they just do it. They even have my car memorized.
