Saturday I went in to get my nails done. My nails have grown quite a bit. Though they weren’t super long they weren’t super short either. So I was excited to get them in an almond shape. When I told the ladies what I wanted they said to me that wouldn’t be possible because my nails were too short. I told them I always get almond shape with short nails. Yet they kept telling me it’s impossible. They kept insisting that I get tips or a different shape. I told them and said well hey if you guys can’t do it that is no problem I can just go somewhere else. Now when I said this I said it calmly and meant it with an honest heart. I did not mean it in a mean way I just meant it with sincerity because I knew if I went somewhere else they could in fact do it for me. Especially since I’m the one paying. I didn’t want to stay and pay extra for something I knew I didn’t have to do. They said to me with an arrogant tone “it’s not that we don’t know how to do it, it’s that what you are asking is impossible” I politely said “please do not tell me something that’s not true” . I paid for them removing my nail polish and was very polite I told them thank you and that I appreciated them and then I left. I left to a different nail salon told them what had happened and when this nail salon looked at my nails they were in shock that these ladies at Washington nails told me it was impossible to do an almond shape on them. The ladies at the other nail salon went straight to action and did what I knew was possible the entire time! I was being kind and honest with the ladies at Washington nails. They could have said “hey we’re sorry but we just don’t know how to do it” but to get proud and lie to me to make me believe I was crazy just disappointed me. At the end of the day I felt so proud of myself because I trusted my gut and didn’t let these ladies pressure me into getting something I didn’t want. I stood up for myself trusted my intuition and when I went to another salon they proved that I was right. I am posting this so if there is any lady that goes to Washington nails or any salon in general. Be honest, be polite, and stand up for yourself. Trust yourself even when the nail techs try to be dishonest with you. Trust your gut and don’t let someone tell you something is impossible when you know for a fact it is.
I’m going to post a picture of how Washington nails left my nails telling me it was IMPOSSIBLE to do almond shape on them. Then I’m going to show how the other salon did what these nail techs at Washington nails said was impossible. The first picture will be without them being shaped showing how I left Washington nails. The second picture and third is how the other salon shaped my nails just how I wanted and the last picture is how they left my nails as a whole. Proving that what I wanted was in fact possible.
At Washington nails The owner is a lovely lady and they are still a great nails salon. I just feel a little disappointed because before going to Washington nails I had just spoken so well about them to my mother and was looking forward to getting treated by them, but just those two ladies trying so hard to prove to me I was asking for something impossible really disappointed me. I personally will not be going back because I’m just uncomfortable with how I was treated that day by the...
Read moreMy nails came out okay, I have paid the same price and have gotten better elsewhere. I am new to this area so I am looking for "my go-to spot". However, this place will not be it for me. I went there to get my nails done and relax, however, my experience was far from relaxing. Two little kids were running around, crying, shouting, and pushing into my chair. Their moms work there so they couldn't control them because they were attending their clients. I am a mom of two young kids myself so I understand how difficult it can be to find a babysitter. However, you also have a business to run and people who go there to unwind and relax and get away from it all like I was trying to do. That didn't happen for those who went there on the day I went. Because of this I don't think I will ever...
Read moreI stopped by on a whim since I live a few blocks away and they were able to fit me in, even though I did not have a reservation. There was a small mishap and I completely overreacted but the owner and the employee were beyond gracious. I feel ashamed for the way I behaved but this salon has made a customer for life.
The spa gel pedicure was done to perfection and I was especially impressed with how well the employee did the cuticles. It's incredibly easy to make me bleed but they managed to remove all the cuticle without even the hint of a scratch.
So impressed with their service, their work, and their remarkable grace. 10/10 stars and I can't wait to be back in 2-3 weeks for another pedicure (I'll make a reservation next...
