I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional care I received from nurses Jourdin, Rebecca, and Gloria during my recent shoulder replacement surgery. Their professionalism, compassion, and attentiveness made a significant difference in my recovery and overall hospital experience.

From the moment I arrived, Jourdin set the tone with her calm and reassuring demeanor. She explained every step of the process, ensuring I felt informed and at ease. Her attention to detail and patient-first approach made me feel confident that I was in the best hands possible.

Rebecca was equally outstanding, combining efficiency with genuine kindness. She took the time to address my concerns, no matter how small, and consistently checked on my comfort. Her ability to balance expert care with empathy made the recovery process far less daunting.

I would also like to highlight Gloria, who whose warmth and dedication shone through especially when I had a needle phobia before she drew my blood. Her uplifting spirit and attentive care were a bright spot during my stay. Gloria’s commitment to her patients is evident, and her cheerful attitude made a world of difference as I navigated the initial post-surgery challenges.

Together, Jourdin, Rebecca, and Gloria demonstrated exceptional teamwork, skill, and compassion. I highly recommend the District Surgery Center for any outpatient procedure. I can’t speak enough to the professionalism, care, and concern that ALL of the staff bestow upon each patient. From the front desk to the nurses, to the docs and physician assistants, the housekeeping team - everyone. Top notch care, sterile environment, communication regarding every step of the surgical process, high tech and user friendly technology.

You name it - the District Surgery Center has it. I had a total knee replacement on 10/28/25 and just received a call from 1 of the nurses, Rebecca, checking in to see how I was coming along. I was delighted to receive that call.

Any future outpatient procedures I may require - I sure hope to return here. I live close to Baltimore and it’s quite a hike to Bethesda, but well...

Overall my experience was great with my prep nurse, the doctors and anesthesiologist. I was discharged by a nurse who seemed inexperienced with the process. She did not know how to put on my back brace. When I got home my back brace was very loose and the additional straps used to tighten the brace were not applied. I experienced nausea and vomiting during my discharge and the nurse used the bag my brace came in for me to vomit in. She did give me a small vomit bag to carry which worked fine. The nurse gave me my leg massagers but did not give me the recharge elements. I felt like she was rushing me.
