In the passage of life beyond the half-century mark, one becomes acquainted with medical routines previously uncharted. Among these, urological examinations stand out as particularly daunting, their necessity underscored by the discomfort they entail. Throughout this journey, I have encountered numerous physicians, each bringing their own expertise to the table. However, it was not until my experience with Dr. Jeanette E. Foronda today at Chesapeake Uro - Bethesda, located at 6410 Rockledge Drive, that I truly realized the difference a physician can make.
Dr. Foronda's approach is a rare amalgamation of kindness, professionalism, patience, understanding, and, most critically, effective expertise. Her manner distinguishes her not only from her peers within the same center, a group composed entirely of male counterparts, but arguably, from the medical profession at large. It is this unique combination of attributes that has profoundly impacted my healthcare experience, transforming what was once a series of uncomfortable necessities into encounters marked by dignity and respect.
Her proficiency and manner are not merely refreshing but are indicative of a broader competence and warmth that I believe are critical in healthcare, particularly in a field as sensitive as urology. The gender dynamics within this specialty, often dominated by male practitioners, underscore the significance of Dr. Foronda's presence and approach. Her ability to navigate this space with such grace and expertise is not only commendable but serves as a beacon for the kind of healthcare experiences patients deserve.
I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Foronda's services to anyone seeking not just a skilled urologist, but a medical professional who brings humanity and understanding to each consultation. Her exemplary service is a testament to what healthcare can and should be, offering not only medical solutions but also a sense of comfort and trust that is too often lacking in these settings.

Read moreDrove to Bethesda from Frederick during morning commute I-270 expecting my procedure. I arrived and was informed there would be no procedure, only a review of my blood work. We'll I was upset I had to drive 35 - 40 miles, one way, just to review my blood work that hasn't changed in 12 years of procedures. The staff were aware that if no procedure was performed, I was leaving. Well, two of the staff (Justin and Silvia) stepped up, especially Silvia, as she had authority and arrived at an acceptable solution. Silvia took control after Justin identified that I had a problem with no procedure being performed. Silvia rescheduled my procedure for later in the same week and had Justin draw my blood right there in the office because one of the components in our blood, that they test for, has to be taken in the morning to provide an accurate reading. I was very pleased as I didn't have to wait weeks to reschedule, and something was accomplished in taking my blood sample. The staff were courteous, knowledgeable, and...
Read moreI had an appointment today at 8 am. I was asked to arrived by 7:30 am to make sure the paperwork is complete. I was there on time and I was greeted by an employee who was not nice. After 10 minutes that peson told me that their system is down and she doesnât know when she can take me in to see the doctor. After another 15 minutes someone who didnât introduce herself came out and said we have to reschedule since the doctor said that.
I asked whether there is any protocol to notify patients considering that Chesapeake Urology is a big practice. She answered me they didnât know if they have to cancel and not addressing my question. She said she will call me for rescheduling but I still havenât heard from her. Itâs very unacceptable.
They didnât care calling the patients early on to give them a notice for their internal problem. If you miss your appointment though you have to pay the no show fee. I also paid for parking that they didnât care either.
I am waiting to hear back from the...
