I frequently visit this location with my child, as I’m a LEGO Insider Rewards member and my son, who has high-functioning autism, loves LEGO. He has several collections, including LEGO City, and I was planning to start building his next set.
During my visit, one of the associates, Shalom (or Shelam—I may not have the spelling correct), provided excellent service. He was very helpful, assisted me with my transaction, and let me know how many points I had accumulated.
As we were wrapping up the transaction, I asked for an additional bag to complement a Christmas project I worked on—a LEGO-themed Christmas tree with all LEGO decorations. Shalom kindly started to give me another bag, but the assistant manager, Claire, intervened and said, “No, sorry, we can’t do that. We don’t have any bags to give.”
I was taken aback and explained to her that I’ve spent hundreds of dollars at this store for my autistic child, and I didn’t think asking for one additional bag was unreasonable. Claire’s response felt dismissive, and it was disheartening to be treated this way, especially as a loyal customer. Even the other associates seemed surprised and uncomfortable with her reaction, as they know I regularly shop here with my child.
It’s upsetting to feel like I was treated unfairly, particularly as an African American customer. I hope this feedback helps the store reflect on how to treat loyal customers who come in regularly and contribute significantly to...
Read moreThe store is nice and the typical size of a lego store. The staff were incredibly friendly. This visit was during COVID and the staff made lots of extra steps due to this. The entry is set up with an entrance and exit and lots of floor markings. They have a display at the front with the items they have for pick a brick and you tell them what you want and they fill the cup for you. The two cups I had filled were fully filled including into the lid which I appreciated. The back of that display was similar for the build a minifigure. Interesting for build a minifigure it was the normal price for 3 figures, but instead of 3 figures you get 15 items from that selection (got a bunch of the Halloween pumpkin head covers and no legs, I have a lot of extra legs somehow).
Also impressive was someone had pre-felt all of the blind bag products (minifigure bags and mario bags) and would get you the ones you ask for. (I asked for the small goblin guy with the big sword from Harry Potter and they were able to pull out two of those for me).
Overall a great experience. Would like to see at least one display with a custom model...
Read moreIf you are a lego fan and need the latest set for a gift or spoil yourself, this Store is a great place to go. The staff are super friendly and very helpful.
We’ve purchased a few sets that were unavailable through the online store, which was awesome.
The latest was the Harry Potter Diagon Alley! Even our rescue kitten is excited to get started…
Footnote: Prices are not for the faint of heart. Especially for the the larger sets that are +2,000 pieces, which are at a premium. But with this said, going direct to the store can guarantee the best price. There are a number of online sites offing similar unopened “kits” for more that it costs to order online (which usually includes free shipping) or in person pick...
