KaFean Koffee — Restaurant in North Bethesda

I recently visited KaFean Koffee and was very impressed! The cafe’s design, with its burgundy and black color scheme, creates a unique blend of casual yet upscale vibes that really make the place stand out.

The menu offers an extensive range of drinks, which made it tough to choose, but I settled on a biscotti latte with oat milk—and it was delicious. I also tried a few pastries I hadn’t seen in other cafes, like a rich cheese danish, an almond croissant, and a Turkish feta pastry. All were fresh and flavorful, with prices comparable to other cafes in the area.

What truly stood out was the hospitality. The cafe was supposed to close at 7 PM, but Ammar, the owner, was kind enough to stay an hour later, sharing the story of how he started the cafe just a year after graduating.

I stopped by this cute little coffee shop and tried the strawberry chai and the strawberry matcha, both were honestly so good. The strawberry chai had this cozy, spiced flavor with a fruity twist, and the matcha was creamy and just sweet enough. You can tell they put love into what they make. Excellent lattes (thick, creamy) and terrific and friendly service from Ethan. We tried two flavored lattes: biscoff and pistachio, both really good, with a slight preference for the pistachio. Because the latte flavors add sweetness, I might try a plain latte next time for a straight coffee taste.
