The door was unlocked. I wanted to donate some books. No staff was there just 7 elderly people in the Dinning Room playing cards. One lady got up from the table while all the others looked on & talked amongst themselves. The lady came over, didn't introduce herself & rudely asked how we got in. My PCA told her that the door was unlocked. She rudely asked what r we doing here & as my PCA was answering I walked into the Dinning Room & introduced myself. I felt small. One lady said I should come & play cards but, what I strongly sensed is, it is offered as an obligation. Just to b nice. I left & told my PCA what happened & she ashed if I'm going to. I said no. She asked why not? They seem nice & I said, they were being nice because they felt obligated too & was trying to get us out of there. I felt unwanted, unwelcomed & no one wanted to really make friends with me, a 59 yr old woman who has no idea how to play the card game 500. I left my books that were my Dad's & ones that were mine from my brother whom both have died. Unless attitudes & things change, I won't b going bk. Extremely depressing.
