Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in North Branch

Went for lunch today and took my kids with me. Ages 8 and 11. Reviews said there was games for them to play. The reviews were accurate. Bar and seating area is really nice. Ample TV's and music. A fairly wide open place. We went specifically for cheeseburgers and Tailgaters did not disappoint. Food was great. Service was also spectacular.

Then there was an elephant in the room. The clientele we sat next to. I work construction and I've never heard that much swearing in one sitting. The F' word was used 3 times per sentence. In the short time span there was easily over 100 curses. Even though it's a bar there should be some etiquette with children around. The bar is set up to entertain families.

I brought it to the attention of the server and she openly admitted that they were swearing too much. She said they have been drinking all day. I said well at this point you are going to lose business with behavior like this. I would have had no problem saying something to the table myself. The problem I think I may have had is the party would not have been receptive to my suggestion. I can speak with my hands, but that wasn't the time or place. The bar should step in and stop serving when it's even noticeable to the staff. My two cents anyway.

Tailgators in North Branch is a very delicious little place to eat. It's a bar and restaurant and not super huge, but the food is very tasty. They always have some kind of special, and we've never had anything bad there. Food or service wise. My absolute favorite is their cream cheese won tons that have a little bit of jalapenos in them, served with a spicy raspberry sauce. Now, anybody that knows me would say - I would never ever eat that! Number one is because I can't stand jalapenos. Number two, I don't like anything spicy and number three, I don't like sweet things with my regular food, BUT these are the most delicious things I have ever tasted in my life. BEWARE OF DEFENSIVE KAREN - First time here and the service was absolutely horrible. We ordered online and asked for a burger with no jalapenos and a burger with no tomatoes and mushrooms. When we got home, both orders were incorrect. I called and asked to speak to a manager. She refused to let me talk to a manager and said I can just talk to her. When I told her my issue, she immediately became defensive and found every excuse in the book. There was no empathetic apology for the mix up. Her tone sounded like annoyance. I have never met a lady so rude before at her job. I'm sorry but this is who you have representing your business.
