Great option for consignment. All the ladies are so nice and the store is always so clean. From career clothes, shoes, to casual/athletic clothes, there's something for everyone. I also love the ability to consign my items and have an online account to watch what is selling within the agreed upon timeline. If your items do not sell within 3 months you can either pick them up, or they can donate them. I always bring my items in on hangers, freshly laundered, and wrinkle free to assist in the process. The ladies will go through your items quickly and decide which items they will consign. The only suggestion I would make is if we could get a brief list of the items kept either agreed to our account or at the store, which would help consigners keep track of all unsold inventory as well. Ideally an online account that showed us all of our consigned items with full prices, and the list would update showing the sold items with our percent earned in live time. For the shoppers, the store has a great selection of formal gowns if you are searching for variety at a great deal. Also designer handbags are frequently added to the inventory as well. I took a prom dress that I had into Encore for the first time. I knew the dress was older, but it was in really good condition, no holes, stains or wrinkles. I went into the shop and the employeean older lady with glasses told me to put the dress on the rack. She would look it over and while doing so she suggested I roam the shop. I did. Twice actually. Two times I came back to the front and my dress was still on the rack and had not been taken out of the plastic. Then another customer came in with clothing and this employee immediately took interest in what this customer had. So again I had to wait while these two talked and discussed the clothing when I had only brought in one item to be examined. When the employee finally got to me she said that even though my dress was in excellent condition it was just not in style. Yes the dress was outdated. I got it back in 2003, but I was hoping that because it's an elegant dress in really good condition that there might be some interest. I could have handled the news better if this employee had looked at it right away. But instead she not only made me wait, but took more interest in the customer that came in nearly fifteen minutes after me. That was actually hurtful. All your customers matter, especially if it's their first time in the shop.This was the first time and will be my last time going...
