There are both good and bad things to say about this GE. Shall we start with the good? Good: I purchased an item that after reviewing my receipt, was charged way more than the shelf price. The customer service desk not only refunded the difference, but refunded times two and let me keep the item. Wow! The not-so-good: The curbside pickup area is a total cluster. It's hard to believe that THAT many people are either infirm or lazy that they'll wait in a curbside lane for a l-o-n-g time to get their orders - but what is worse is that they make the already-cramped parking endeavor terrible. Giant Eagle - you have the perfect spot for these pickup orders over on the side by the pharmacy drive-thru. Wouldn't it make more sense to not jam up the already busy front driveway? Also, re-open the revolving door by the liquor store. Don't tell me it's a "staffing" issue. You could find a retiree or handicapped person to happily SIT by that door if the only reason to 'staff' it is to keep people from leaving...

I ordered a cake online for my daughter's birthday party. When I went to pick the cake up the guy in the bakery could not find it. After a few minutes of searching he eventually found an order form. The issue was that someone wrote the correct date but incorrect say if the week on it and placed it in the wrong days orders. He apologized and assured me the manager would come and take care of this. The manager was very apologetic and asked when the party was. The party was an hour and a half from this time. She called a cake decorator in on her off day, they got the cake made, delivered to my house and didn't even charge me for the cake. My daughter was so thrilled to have her unicorn and mermaid cake for her birthday. They truly went above and beyond. They exemplified what customer service is. I'm am so grateful for that...
