I was here shopping 45 minutes before close at the local market I often walk to from my house over the last year. After waiting for the women to finish serving the drinks/deserts by the entrance she told me and my fiancé to leave because she was closed and turned off the lights. We instead got some candy to go with our purchase and waited in line to check out and she began laughing with her coworker. While waiting in line two more customers went to the exact spot we waited at and I joked to my fiancé the woman would probably serve them and not us. After 3 minutes of her walking around and wiping her fingers on her nose with no gloves, that same women served those customers drinks and rang them out, so I suppose we were just the wrong color/orientation to be served here. (We just wanted a pre-packaged item so this could have taken 30 seconds of her time) You should be better than this, it’s 2025 and you’re in a tourist city. They also have a taqueria within the market with hands-down the BEST tacos in Charleston. Right beside the taqueria is their butcher shop which is full of assorted fresh meats that were prepared with care. And on top of having all of these amazing features, their customer service is always superb. We are always greeted with kindness and on our last visit, we had not one but two employees offer my baby girl a lollipop while we shopped. I wish this business all of the success — they most...
Read moreI have no idea how this place has 4.6 stars, went here for tacos that were recommended by someone, but came out soo disappointed tacos were super greasy and the meat tasted like it wasn’t washed properly, the person that handles the food is the same one that calls the numbers, but touches the receipts and everything around him with the gloves that he handles the food, the bathroom gives you an idea on how the kitchen around most look like because it was super dirty empty rolls of toilet paper in the floor, nothing to dry yours hand, no soap oh and better yet a dead roach just chilling there, workers are rude, don’t appear to enjoy working in a customer service environment, which I don’t know why you work in a supermarket that the main objective is customer service....
