This was possible the WORST spa experience i have ever had. i went to the one of Ashley Phos.
my boyfriend got me a christmas special they were having, $40 for a facial, hand massage and back massage in three different sessions (with a free beverage!)
my appointment was at 2pm on the 23rd of December and we arrived at 1:45. it is BRIGHT orange, think construction worker orange. and they had silver pleather furniture. not my thing but whatever, maybe the were going for a modern look. well the sheet rock in the hallway is cracked and peeling at the bottom and the door to the waiting room had no door knob, just a hole where the knob should be. the man at the front desk asked if i would like some water and i said i did. he never came back. also, after he showed me to the waiting room he gave me a 3 minute sales pitch, NOT RELAXING. the last thing i want went i go in for a spa treatment is to be given a pushy used-car salesman-esque pitch. he finally left me alone (but still never came back with my water).
at 2:30 i went in for my facial, half and hour after it was scheduled. the lady was nice but the facial was pretty terrible. no massage, no steam, she actually used her fingers to get the black heads, not the extraction tool like they are supposed to. she then just kept applying toner to my face, over and over again. my face was starting to feel a little raw but i thought it was just from the exfoliation scrub she used.
when it was finished i was shown to the waiting room again and offered my free beverage. was it wine? coffee? tea? nope, Great Value Lemonade, but i had the choice of cherry or lemon flavored!! for a place with extremely high prices on their website it was a dump and very low class. not upscale like you would think after looking at their website. i am not sure where all the great reviews came from on their site, i think they probably write them to promote themselves.
also, i had a horrible reaction to whatever the lady put on my face and my face has been red, peelings and horribly dry. i have several facials every year for at least the past 10 years and i have never had a reaction.
if you are looking for wallet-friendly spa treatments i suggest Zen Massage on Rivers Ave. i have had facials and full body massages and they are always fabulous and muuuuuch cheaper than Moedim. Zen has a classy upscale and professional environment.
my boyfriend is calling today and asking for our money back. it was $40, but that will buy you a one hour massage at Zen.
also, i wonder if the people at Moedim are licensed?? i have never been to a less professional...

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the ultimate relaxation at Moedim Day Spa, and I can't stop raving about the exceptional massage day spa! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquility and luxury.
The ambiance of the spa is simply divine. Soft lighting, soothing music, and a gentle aroma of essential oils create an oasis of calm, immediately transporting you away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The receptionists were warm and welcoming, making me feel instantly at ease.
My massage therapist, Ms. Kim, was an absolute gem. Professional and attentive, they took the time to discuss my preferences and any specific areas of concern before the treatment began. The massage itself was nothing short of magical – the perfect blend of therapeutic techniques and relaxation. The skilled hands of the therapist worked wonders on my tense muscles, melting away the stress accumulated from daily life.
One notable feature of Moedim Day Spa is the attention to detail. The treatment rooms are impeccably clean and well-maintained, creating a serene environment for a truly rejuvenating experience.
After my massage, I had the chance to enjoy the spa's other amenities, such as the sauna and relaxation lounge. The attention to detail was evident here as well, with plush loungers, herbal teas, and a serene atmosphere allowing me to extend my state of relaxation.
The overall experience at Moedim Day Spa exceeded my expectations, and I left feeling not only physically refreshed but also mentally rejuvenated. The prices are reasonable for the quality of service provided, making it a fantastic value for the sheer bliss you receive.
If you're in need of a break from the daily grind and want to treat yourself to a truly indulgent experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Moedim Day Spa. It's a sanctuary for the senses, and I can't wait to return for another dose of...
Read moreI arrived at Modiem Spa about 5:00 on Friday 3/30/2017, mind you the website states they close at 8:00. I had to use my gift certificate that my husband gave me last year this time. Mind you my husband and I had a trying 2017 to say the lease from hospital admissions to everything in between. So when I arrived I was told I couldn't be seen because I didn't make and appt but I called weeks before and was informed that I didn't have to make an appointment. So I ask Miss.Peggy could you make my appt for the following Sunday seeing that they would be close Easter Sunday. I was informed that she would call me with an appt on Tuesday so I left but than I felt as if I should get this in writing seeing that ppl aren't as friendly and trust worthy as they once were. To make a long story short Miss.Peggy was very DISRESPECTFUL towards me when I returned. Her eating her sandwich was much more important than her assisting me. She called me out of my name several times and told me I should be glad I'm black because if I wasn't she would have called the police. So I ask to speak with someone else besides her, only to find out by Miss.Kim that Miss.Peggy is partial owner. If this is how an owner behaves I'll never return or even have a desire to use my gift certificate. This is why I prefer not to use black owned businesses because of individuals like Miss.Peggy. Run far away from this place if your thinking about using a gift certificate. I was told that it was my fault for not using my gift certificate before today by Miss.Kim. I should have came in earlier or before. These ladies don't know what I've been through in the last year. I almost lost my life in 2017 but no using a gift certificate before the expiration date which expired 3/31/2017 was more important and to add insult to injury. Miss.Peggy took a pic of my license plate lol smh. If your afraid ppl will retaliate you shouldn't be so rude. Ran away from this wanna be...
