Chill N Grill — Restaurant in North Charleston

The vibe is definitely a bar. Not like "Chili's bar and grille" kind of vibe where you can bring your kids. I brought my family and there were dancers in thongs on the tv the whole time. The ambiance is that of a bar. My kids are not desensitized to that so they noticed every thing. Our waitress struggled to remember to bring everything we asked for. We were patient with her but it was inconvenient to ask three times for the extra plate we informed her we would need when placing our order, followed by constantly repeating or need for ketchup and ranch. Don't think you'll get a drink refill bc you won't. I believe the fried food would have been very good as I had a friend state that before however because I have a gluten allergy I was only able to do grilled and I do not think the prices fit the amount of food that you get or the presentation of the food. We ordered things like wings which looked very delicious though my children did not receive any of the celery that was listed on the menu. I ordered the fish and shrimp and she only brought out the shrimp (she got two of ours wrong) and then I had to wait 10 mins for the fish but they literally bring it on a plate with nothing else on the plate. So it's hard to think that I paid $16 for a shrimp skewer and a tiny piece of white fish. Our overall experience was not good. No matter the day or time you go the food and service will take forever. 40 minutes later and still no appetizer, it was okra that’s 2 minutes. We was told DoorDash took priority and our food would come after. That doesn’t even make sense , we are customers dining in . It was a total of 11 other people in the restaurant besides me and my partner. The first time we came here it took 2 hours for 5 breaded wings for one of our people in our party. That was a Saturday night so we assumed it was a weekend crowd issue but no even slow nights you can not get anything on time. The food its self is good but if I have to wait 2 hours I’ll go anywhere else. We paid for our drinks and walked out. After reading other reviews the responses from the owner or representative saying they will fix issues clearly is not happening. My visit today 12/05/24 at 7pm these issues clearly haven’t been addressed. No i didn’t bring it to a managers attention that i waited 49 minutes for an appetizer because its been brought to many peoples attention that the service and wait times are ridiculous. The 3 ladies sitting at the table across from us had waited over an hour plus for one lady’s food while the other 2 had already ate and they was also complaining. A manager should be offered from the staff during long wait times. Have some self awareness, read the room. WARNING: LONG POST

Apparently Chill N Grill believes it is acceptable to let a customer place & pay for an order online that does not come for over an hr. This customer then calls in relation to the order that was not delivered and they apparently never checked the online system. They start to prepare the order. Fine. They then call this customer back 20 min later to say that they don’t have all of the menu items available. When they were asked if they intend to compensate with a discount(not free) for this inconvenience, the manager MIKE (who was too scared to get on the phone & deal with this customer himself) has the cashier tell this customer that’s its not his fault he didn’t see the order & to order over the phone next time. YOU DONT NEED TO OFFER ONLINE ORDERING IF IT DOES NOT WORK! IT IS NOT YOUR CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO SAY “CHECK YOUR ONLINE ORDERING SYSTEM”! Now my mother is a preacher so she wouldn’t dog ya’ll but I got time & energy because I don’t play that poor customer mess. Lucky she wouldn’t give me the phone. The cashier was nice but Mike is a TRASH manager! & if she would have given me the phone it would have all been FREE! That is all. Cuz I done fuss with my mama for not letting me talk to the people. I just had to get it off my chest & let everybody to know that they are TRASH. & of course when the food finally came a total of 3 HOURS LATER, it was COLD!
