Waffle House — Restaurant in North Charleston

It was horrible! Went in around 12:30 a.m. say and waited for 20 mins before the one server walked to our table. We told him "we are ready to go ahead and order" and he got an attitude and said "I'll get to You when I get to you." And started to walk away so I saod "Sir, can I please go ahead and at least order my drinl?" He turns around and raises his voice saying "I told you I'll get to You when I can." And walked away. When I finally was able to order was another 20 minutes after that. He was rude when I asked questions about their biscuit options and said his company didn't serve blueberry biscuits. I was in a different waffle house two days ago that did. But ok not an issue. I finally got my food after another 15 minutes and no biscuit. When I asked about it he cut me off and started yelling at the cook. My steak I ordered was over done cause he wrote down the wrong thing on the ticket. I had to ask for a refill and it was the wrong drink and when I mentioned it he goes "You got come the first time don't try to lie" I don't drink coke.. I drink Dr. Peper always..he brought the check and I noticed he had charged extra on the order. I added up the prices from the menu and saw I was definitely overcharged. When I mentioned it he started yelling at me telling me I didn't know what i was talking about and raising his voice. Then started cussing me out and threatening to fight me when i asked him to correct it. I know what my total is. I eat at waffle house every week and order the same thing every time. Then he called the cops and told them I didn't have the money to pay which was also false. Told them he wanted me banned from the property and when i asked for corporates information he told me "maybe you can look at the walls and you might find the number or are you too stupid to do that?" My husband and I went in because we had been wanting to make it there and hadn’t been to a Waffle House in 14 years. We should’ve just remembered it fondly and never went back. I wanted sausage gravy & biscuits but the cook looked in the fridge and said there wasn’t any. So then I wanted a pecan pancake. Can’t get that at Waffle House anymore. I finally settled on an order of toast and hash browns. My husband ordered the bacon cheeseburger with hash browns with onions ham & cheese. I watched the cook throw on a frozen burger and bacon and diced ham. Then he started my toast. Then he started hash browns. My toast was popped up and sitting there getting cold and hard. The hash browns were done, on plates, sitting there getting cold, the burger was on another plate getting cold. Waiting for the cook to decide just how burnt he wanted to get my husband’s “toasted” bun. Meanwhile the waitress who’s been standing there playing with her hair decided to butter my cold hard toast… thank goodness she put gloves on because she never washed her hands. About 45 seconds after she gave us the food she put the bill in front of us. Never asked if we wanted anything else or if it was ok. Then she went in the back. We ate and sat there waiting for her to come back so we could pay and leave but she didn’t come. Meanwhile I’m watching the cook make Sausage gravy from a powdered mix! SERIOUSLY??? A MIX IN SOUTH CAROLINA???? That’s disgraceful!!!! We finally asked the cook to get the waitress so we could get out of there. I’m a Certified Dietary Manager and I seen so many violations in there that it made my skin crawl! Adding Waffle House to my list of places to NEVER...

The place was absolutely disgusting, there was trash on the floor, dirt on the walls, it was just filthy. We waited for a booth to open up, no issue with that, but when we got seated it took several minutes to get greeted. When our waitress did come over she was nice at first, but once she started taking our order she started acting strangely. She started talking to herself, scratching out everything she had written on her pad, she asked us 10+times if she got our order right. She was just acting odd. She had asked us if we were okay, and we said yes, when my mom asked her if she was okay, she got very quite. When she didn’t say anything we continued with our order and I’m the middle of it she stormed off and asked another waiter to take over. She repeated several times that she’s “not putting up with that mouth.” It was completely uncalled or and out of no where. My mom had tried to ask her if she had said something that offended her because she did not mean to upset her or intentionally do anything that was rude. The waitress ignored us. After another minute of confusion, she came back to double check our order and then the other waiter came to take over and she just stormed off. The other waiter was clearly just as confused as we were. I apologized to the male waiter for attempting to help, but we just left. I don’t know if the lady was high on something or was just having a really off day, but the way she handled that situation was completely unacceptable.
