I have recently had a new roof installed on my home and it was inspected by BDS on 2/25. However he missed several issues on my roof and did not even bother to perform a full inspection of my roof. He looked only at the front from the ground. I have found nails left on my roof, loose gutters with pieces of building materials, badly placed shingles, and broken stucco by the roof line that should have been obvious if he had bothered to look. While I understand that the gutters are not a part of the roof they do need to put back properly after the new roof is done. Now I have to get all of this fixed and fight with the roofing company when your inspector should have found these issues and not signed off on the permit. And this isn’t the first time the inspectors did a shoddy job. They signed off on a had a/c system in my home that then I had to fix instead of holding the company accountable. I wonder where does all our taxes and fees go to? For them to help bad...

For North Port’s “oldest school” you would think they would implement an updated plan to allow for local residents to use their own driveways without constantly having to ask multiple cars to move, as not blocking driveways is part of city ordinances. Police or traffic controllers should be available to guide the traffic so everyone can use the...
