I have had 3 poor experiences in a row and will most likely never return. Don't get me wrong, the inventory is great, however, the management needs work! I strolled in one day after missing one of my grandmothers more than usual to see if they had any fruit slices or ribbon candy like we used to share as a kid. They only had it in sugar free, which didn't bother me, because that was not the point of my purchase, and I got lectured about not being a diabetic for longer than comfortable in front of other customers. The second time I was in there killing time with my boyfriend, against my will because of the last time, one of the owners (?) got into a disagreement with another cashier. It wasn't crazy, but when she left, the other woman that was reprimanded proceeded to gossip to another staff member until we checked out, and the store isn't too big not to hear. The last and final time I went in was after I had my daughter. It was a mild September day. I had capris and ballet flats and she had long sleeves and pants with sneakers. My fiance went to the car to grab his wallet because he forgot it, and while he was gone; the woman cashing us out was very condescending about how my child was not in a jacket saying, "Maybe mommy will remember to put a coat on you tomorrow." and I regret not snapping. 1) Mind your own business thank you 2) It was in the 70s and I have a sweaty kid and 3) jackets are not allowed when buckled in for safety reasons and pissing my child off to get in and out of a hoodie for every store while out and about wasn't necessary just like the her parenting advice. Unfortunately I will shop elsewhere, but I know this place is a staple around there and will not miss me as a customer. I just hope their attitudes change because it is such...
Read moreMy family and I have been going here for over 13yrs. We love the store it has wall to wall and from floor to ceiling of nothing but candy. Literally the walls are covered. They carry new types of candy. Bit what sets them apart from any other candy store is that they have, all the nostalgic candy also. I am in my 30's now and i can still get my childhood favorites from the 80's and 90's that i cant find any where else. The staff that works there are amazing people. Even the owner knows my children by name since we have been going to the store for so long. Long story short THIS PLACE IS AMAZING STEP INTO THIS PLACE AND RETURN TO YOUR CHILDHOOD DREAMS OF YOUR...
Read moreMy wife, mother-in-law, and myself drove over half an hour, excited to try out a candy store we had never been to. After finding parking in their cramped and inaccessible parking lot we made it as far as the worn out carpets in the entrance when all three of us were flatly denied to go any further. This was because of my wife's certified service dog, an 8 year old friendly yellow lab. Even after explaining this is against the Americans with Disabilities act we were still denied entry. By not letting us into a candy store they turned us into second class citizens and reminded us of just how detrimental my wife's disability is. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM...
