I have decided once and for all, I am done with Texas Roadhouse! The Cranston location and your location too, North Smithfield! Absolutely disgusted! This is the third time I have gotten bits of steak pieces or pork pieces in my "to go" side. Anyone remember when I had chunks of steak fat in my broccoli before? Well now I have pieces of steak in my green beans hidden at the bottom. I should have boycotted this location when I found a piece of pulled pork on top of my smashed potatoes side. I get that it may have accidentally fallen into the potato serving dish, and that you guys are busy, but c'mon, nobody had the decency to remove it? They just put a cap on it and sent it off!! We eat with our eyes first, so yeah, lost my appetite for the smashed potatoes instantly!!! Back to my recent order, I asked for prime rib, medium temp. The piece I got was so rare, that the fat cap wasn't even cooked. If you've ever seen what this looks like, it's completely grotesque and repugnant! I will attach pictures so you can see for yourself. Now, mind you, this is after the previous order was incorrectly cooked and Jeremy, one of the "Manager/Share Owners", promised that this would "absolutely never happen again" because he would personally oversee the order before it went out. I actually hope he didn't this time, to save himself the embarrassment. However, if he did, in fact, "personally oversee it", then he SHOULD be embarrassed. Also, my husband always orders the horseradish cream dressing and not once has he ever received it in any take-out order. The one time we thought he finally did, he poured it all over his salad and then realized it was actually cream gravy, the other item he had consistently asked for and never received. He's ordered shrimp on his steak, and to no one's surprise, it was missing not once, but twice this happened! Who wants to pay a pretty good sized dinner tab for two and then receive a partial, sub par order? We definitely do not!! And we have both worked in the restaurant industry before, so we also tip well and are very understanding! But only for so long. I almost feel like it's our own fault for giving them so many tries to get it right. Needless to say, the frustration level is beyond!! So, please folks, save your time and hard earned money, because no matter what, I promise you, you will never find any consistency or care with Texas Jokehouse! I mean... Roadhouse..... whatever... I'm done, well...
Read moreWorst experience I have ever had with a waiter! Jacob took forever to even come to the table to greet us. After he placed the silverware on the table he asked what we wanted to drink I informed him we were ready to order, we had already been there for a while...the condescending smirk on his face, very offensive. Now he is in the middle of taking our order he ask what sides I want, I took the menu and as I was deciding what I wanted he tells me I'll be right back and walks off to a different table !!!! We got the food and I didn't even have a second to open the napkin to get the silverware and he asks how is everything (r u kidding me). When we finish he comes to the table and ask are we all set with everything I tell him I want to take my leftovers, he take one plate says he'll be right back. When he comes out from the back he walks right past me with no take home container, I see him walking all over the place, when he finally walked past my table again I had to get he attention and ask for the container that he was supposedly bringing to me 10 mins ago. Again stares at me with the condescending smirk on his face and says ok, shaking head up and down...yes I can do that, as he is shaking his head up and down and then just stands there shaking his his head up and down with the rudest smirky "smile" on his face., (r u kidding me) we basically had a staring contest. He finally came with the container and bill, told him I was ready to pay right now (least I be waiting on him again). He takes my card rings it up bring the bill book and card places is on the table as he turns to walk away and says NOTHING just place it on the take with a major attitude. I couldn't believe it, as the dinner went on his tip decreased each time we interacted (or should I say each time I we didn't interact) he ended up with a dollar, I have never left a tip less than 20%, (except with the norm was 10-15% back in the day) in my life. I was so upset I had to speak with the manager. I've never made a complaint to a manager ever in my life. I will go back to the restaurant but I will refuse service from him if he should...
Read moreSpent the day exploring Newport, after a long day we began to head home and my family and I were longing for a sit down dinner, in hopes of having a nice steak! We came across this restaurant and decided to give it a try! Since this was our first time at a Texas Roadhouse we were really excited to try their steaks. After we were seated we realized that there were no plates on the table to put our bread on, and as we unraveled our utensils from the napkins we quickly noticed that one of the sets was very dirty. After asking our waitress for plates and a set of new utensils, we just thought that maybe it was just a mishap. We then ordered a “cactus blossom” and it came out very fast, and we were very impressed, as soon as we went to eat it we quickly realized that it was NOT cooked and it tasted as if we were eating pancake batter. After waiting what felt like 2 years we finally received our food. We had previously watched 5 other tables around us that had arrived at the restaurant long after us receive their meals. I had ordered a steak with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli and so did my husband. We quickly dived in because we were so hungry considering the fact that we hadn’t eaten since 11:00 that morning and it had now been 8:15. My daughter had a salad which had been okay. But the steaks were very VERY cold and the cheese on our mashed potatoes wasn’t even melted because everything had been that cold. I had also gotten a side of broccoli and to my dismay the broccoli was brown and very very mushy. After finally seeing our waitress again (because she kept disappearing) we quickly asked for the check. After about 10 more minutes the manager came to our table explaining how our waitress (Janet) had told her everything and that we were very unsatisfied. They only took $15 off of our bill and gave us a “meal for two” coupon, that was valued at $30. I doubt that we will ever use that coupon, because I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! The service was VERY poor and we felt that our waitress was very rude and kept disapearing, and the food was not worth the...
