I dropped my ring off at Michael’s for a repair after the diamond fell out of my ring. Luckily I caught the diamond in my lap as it fell and I was able to package it in a small plastic bag to take for a repair. The staff at Michael’s was very kind and inspected the ring to find that a prong was bent. They said it would only take around ten days to repair! I decided to go through with the repair, because all other jewelers were claiming that a repair wouldn’t be done until February. I was given a small contract to fill out and sign for coverage on the ring and was quoted a $40 fee for repair! This is a GREAT cost considering there repair would be so quick as well. To say i’m extremely disappointed is an understatement. I was given a deadline that my ring would be done at a certain date when I dropped it off at this jewelry store. I have had to call four times to see if it was going to be done, and everyone that works in the shop tells me something different every single time. I was also put on “hold” when I asked for an update on my ring and I heard workers in this shop sigh when my ring was mentioned. The communication, customer service, and the fact that everyone in that shop has given me different information is extremely upsetting. Also, I want to add that I still do not have my ring. I stopped by Michael's to see if they could engrave a ring I had made for my grand daughter.. It was a size 1 ring so it was very small. They took care of me right away and was able to do the work for me as I waited. Most places would have had me leave the ring and wait a month to get it completed. I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and the workmanship. They didn't even charge me for the work performed. I will return to Michael's for any future jewelry purchases. Thank You for your understanding how important the work you performed for me was. First granddaughter's are very special....
