Station 21 — Restaurant in North Wilkesboro

Heard good things about the place was disappointed first of all the tables was dirty with food left on them, there was no buffet & the small salad bar they had looked like it has sit there for at least a week being half the containers was empty & crusty. The fish I ordered wasn’t cooked fully ‘ how ever it was a big piece of fish the pickles had a grease taste of 3 weeks old I spit the deep fried pickle out it was that bad… my daughter ordered French toast ‘ it was mid day I give the cook a 10 for making it ‘ a 1 for not cleaning off the grill where it was fixed.. it had taste pepper ‘ garlic other taste to it.. was even visibly seen on the toast..it was horrible ‘ the waitress was sweet ‘ ( but should have cleaned the table after she told us to choose any place to sit ‘ especially if there was food on it ) I didn’t write a review because I had nothing good to say & then I see this pop up for a review & yes I’m gonna give one I didn’t because my kid asked me not to say anything in person it would embarrass them ‘ other than the staff was good & the inside setting was interesting with old pictures that follow through time there.. We won’t go back there’ I tipped our waitress good ( which should have not ! For the simple fact she didn’t clean the table after we sit down ) I didn’t say anything rude just agreed that it was ok / Alex said good food & more than we could eat’ I can tell you that if I was alone & didn’t have my youngest with me I would have spoken up! & said just what I typed here. But my Alex asked me not to say anything.. so I kept quiet( I tipped well )❤️ they are more important to me than speaking on what was wrong eating there.. I don’t like giving bad reviews I think everyone has an off day! Although when it comes to cooking professionally & responsibility of others food I would expect them to stay on top of it !! Same goes for the waitress with the tables & taking care of the salad bar- I passed it up after just seeing it.. needless to say we ordered O’live garden & was able to eat.. so I wish EVERYONE LUCK 🍀 who decides...

I have no idea where this chick in the below review ate, but it wasn’t here! She got the wrong restaurant or confused or something! We eat in this restaurant quite frequently, sometimes three times a week even! The hot bar is always fresh and amazing! The salad bar is fresh and always has a home made dessert to go with it! And the fish…..is AMAZING! Always crispy and cooked up just right! Huge and plentiful pieces!! A fish sandwich on a hoagie feeds me for two days! Super chill atmosphere, waitstaff makes me feel right at home! The owner ALWAYS comes out to check on us and the food quality! We have never been disappointed! Based on this 2nd exp I had. I will have to give a 3 for now. I won't be eating taco night anytime soon. The food was over seasoned and had been left out for to long to make it dry and tasteful. Salad bar thankfully made up for that until I tried one of the peaches and I regret it, it was sour, giving the indication that it had went bad and I wouldn't be to surprised if they knew about it. Thankfully the services of having my dishes taken away and also refills made up for this. The breakfast on Saturday morning was actually nice. I can see they have updated the chair making them more comfortable including the tables. Will update this review over time as I am considering giving them...
