Luxe Consignment — Local services in Northampton

Good quality and good selection, seasonally appropriate clothing, end of season sales (sometimes other sales), stock regularly rotated, something new every time I come in. I’ve recently started shopping at consignment stores, needed to update my wardrobe but I no longer had the funds to purchase upscale (or regular) fashions at full price. Consignment is the perfect solution. The condition of the clothing is “as new”. Consignment stores are selective in what style and quality merchandise they sell. This place in particular is more on the “artsy” side of fashion. They also have a comprehensive selection of special event dresses (such as prom, wedding, etc.) Large and thorough selection of coats. I purchased both a spring coat (rain, chilly weather), and a proper fall coat. Both were stylish and versatile. (Something that works with business and casual wear, as well as evening wear). The stock here leans more towards dresses and skirts (they do have a rack of pants and jeans in the back); but it’s mostly dresses/skirts. In addition to prom/etc dresses. There’s also evening dresses, as well as everyday business, business casual, informal everyday dresses, stylish and some designer labels. Skirts of every style and color. Blazers, sweaters, tops that go with the skirts and dresses, well they’ll go with everything but they also definitely work with what the store sells. They have shoes. Quite a good selection. They have a very good selection of boots. Also heals. Dressy flats. Heeled sandals. Jewelry and accessories, including locally crafted. Handbags and purses. All along the top shelving that runs above the display, so a thorough selection. They also sell lip gloss. Some sort of specialty, local. All sales are final, as is always the case with...

I fell in love with a dress at Luxe that I needed for a special occasion and quickly, it had a few small grease spots on the front which was concerning. The owner said she would work on the stain and I could come back and look at it the next day. When I came back, it looked exactly the same and she said she tried to get it out, but they only had cold water in the store, and it needed warm to get the grease out. For some crazy reason I bought the dress anyways, at home with JUST cold water, the stain lifted. The fabric got so stretched out (probably shouldn't have gotten wet at all,) I could not wear it. My friend Bob and I were visiting Northampton one weekend and stopped by Luxe Consignment because of the excellent reviews on Yelp. The experience was top notch! Natalia, the owner was fabulous and so very kind. We found some lovely treasures there that day.
