Wow! What a cool place. Let me start by saying I was visiting the area as the guest of a wedding. The rehearsal dinner was nearby and I had to find some place to spend a couple of hours while my girlfriend did the wedding thing. I quickly searched for whisky bars and thus establishment came up! Upon entry, the scene is right out of a movie, cool little outside with a slightly speakeasy type feel. On entry, the tunnel shaped subway tile really set the scene. I sat at the bar, enjoyed a cocktail since I did not see many whisky’s at first glance, but then I noticed part of the bar I couldn’t see from my original view. Although I would not call this a whisky bar, they had a great every day selection of more than a dozen whisky’s that even an aficionado like myself can be happy with for an evening. This however was a martini bar! People all around were ordering them and if I went back, I’d do the same! I decided to try the smoked wings and a couple of shrimp cocktail while I waited for my date. The shrimp were part of their raw bar menu and you order by the piece. The shrimp were the colossal size which was a real treat for a guy that now lives in Atlanta and doesn’t get much good seafood. The wings were smoked very very well with a great flavor sauce added in just the right proportion. I had written this review initially while at the bar and specifically mentioned the three folks serving me but the original review appears not to have posted probably because of service. I wish I remembered their names because they were great! If you’ve made it this far, just go to The Tunnel Bar, I promise, you’ll be happy you did!

At over 900 reviews, what is one more? Well here is goes. Was on a girls trip to New England and had just finished getting back from Portland, ME when my husband sends me a tiktok about some interesting bar we need to visit on the trip to Massachusetts. It's 20 mins from our last planned location, so why not. Turns out, it was a good idea. This place is filled with enough history to write its own book. From a pedestrian walk to a prohibition bar to a body locker from a massive war to a cigar lounge to a restaurant, this place has seen it all. Pizza was great. Drinks were great. Charcuterie board left a lot to be desired with 3 pieces of bread, some interesting cheeses, a few meats that were ok and olives. Was not expecting that. I was hoping for a level up from a lunchable, perhaps my tastes are not refined. Just know what you're getting into should you order it. Can't complain. It was a lovely place with lovely people and a lovely atmosphere and they answered all of my questions about this unique place. Recommend.

Came here after graduation years ago. Have visited off and on throughout the years - love the drinks and the atmosphere. Yesterday when we stopped in we were suprised at how everything was reserved and no seats were available. Totally understand - "post" covid world works differently. But, I had scoured the website a few days before making the trip, and nothing was mentioned on there about reservations being highly recommended. I would have had no problem doing so well in advance, but I did not know that was necessary nowadays. Updating the website so that customers know what to expect would be a big help - we were not the only disappointed party. The standing room only was fine, and the staff were very friendly. I'll be back, but with a reservation.

We wondered into this bar on a Thursday evening and I was impressed by the ambiance. It’s perfect for small groups or dates with cushy close seating in a dimly lit environment with a tunnel/train feeling. The only reason that I can’t give this 5 stars is because I tried the Treehouse martini and it was not great. I asked for the ingredients to try separately and I think the gin (from Treehouse) is excellent but the sheer number of ingredients in this drink made it almost undrinkable. I’m looking at you, key lime aperitivo. Either way, our bartender Bryan was Amazing! And I look forward to coming back.

This place was awesome! Albeit it feels crowded because it's so narrow but the drinks are sooo good. The seats are really cool and comfortable and the staff is friendly. We showed up on a Friday night with no reservation and it was full but they let us stand by the bar which was uncomfortable. After asking one of the waiters to please let us know when there is an empty seat, he actually did! I was pleasantly surprised and it was very kind of him. Their coconut martini is mouthwatering and so are the chocolate ones, particularly the Reese's martini. Boozy yummm!
