We were in town picking up an order of furniture and saw the Brewery listed on Google maps. I was so impressed from the moment we walked towards the building. There was a sign outside advertising for workers that detailed an offer of good salary and health benefits. Upon entering the feel of a brewery pub is immediate but while feeling traditional the touches of modernity are also obvious. we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and eat at the raised patio area. It is accessed by a set of wide stairs that take the patrons up to this elevated patio through a series of stairs and landings. The table was spacious and the seats comfortable. We had an excellent professional and cheery server. Even though she was the only waitress serving a growing lunch-crowd managed to attend to our orders and needs very well. We were able to process our bill with our server at the table. The food was delicious. My catfish bites and garden salad, delicious. My only suggestion for improvement would be to serve the salad on a slightly large plate or on a plate with slightly curved edges. It can be a bit frustrating to tackle eating a salad that fills the entire plate giving no leeway for movement as you cut larger pieces resulting in spillage on the table. I don't like making a mess. 🙂 As we left I saw the selection of bar logo tee-shirts that are the same as those worn by the servers with fun graphics. And, hooray, they even offered a variety of neck styles, round and v necks specifically that are usually lacking as most tshirts sold in restaurants offer exclusively crewneck designs, which I can't wear. Finally, the size of the restaurant is impressive with a variety of seating options and areas that I imagine would make it a great place to host a larger gathering, like in the upstairs patio with multiple levels, lots of seating, and a dedicated bar. I highly recommend the Northampton Brewery for its atmosphere, service, facilities, and of course its excellent food and beverage offerings.

My boyfriend picked this place on a trip through Amherst based on the beer though we knew nothing of the food. The first floor with the brew tanks had a lively bar with lots of families and couples alike. We sat upstairs which had a warm, welcoming feel, many tables and booths but not cramped. Servers were knowledgeable, friendly, and fast. We also noticed it's a woman-owned business with mostly female staff. Rare in the beer world! We had the beer battered chicken tenders with buffalo sauce and were glad we didn't order the hotter sauce, plenty spicy. There were a variety of sauces you could choose from. They were a good app portion and very juicy. I tried the turkey reuben special and it was amazing! Rye wasn't soggy, coleslaw was fresh and not too mayo-laden, turkey was made in-house and tasted like Thanksgiving leftovers. So, so good! The bf had the pulled pork which he enjoyed, I found it a little too saucy and sweet. We shared a beer flight and loved the raspberry sour Pomona and the oatmeal milk stout Milk & Cookies. Definitely going back next time we're in town!

The first stop on my Northampton weekend. I dislike beer that's not high ABV, coconut, or peanut butter so I opted for some old fashioneds. While the service was pleasant the locals were enjoyable to talk to. I opted to try the nachos with plans for something else. The first order was wrong as was the second. I opted to keep the olives (olives do not belong on nachos) and scallions on the second order since I didn't want to wait and needed to eat. They were very well done and meh at best. I wish I ordered something else and will have to give it another try at some point. The upstairs patio seems great, if I wasn't alone I would probably have done that.

We were seated immediately upon entering around 1:00 by our friendly server. The atmosphere inside is somewhat dark but very comfortable, and we were seated towards the back near some windows. We randomly selected a couple of different draft beers, and both were very good. I ordered the fried fish, and my wife ordered a salad. Both dishes came pretty quickly, and both were excellent. The fish had a great crispy coating, and the fish was cooked perfectly. The other patrons ranged in age from college level to retirees. Great atmosphere, very relaxed and unhurried. If you found this review helpful, please tap the thumbs up to let me know. Thanks!

This was my husband and I's 2nd time here and we've never been disappointed. Our 1st time, we sat on the upper deck. I love me a restaurant with nice outdoor seating. The beers are all good. We did bring a growler but they said they don't do that??? For a brewery not to fill growlers seems pretty unusual and certainly a business miss on their part. I would hope they reconsider this in the future. I had the nachos as my entrée which is enough for me to eat for at least 3 full meals and super yummy. My husband had a burger and was equally as satisfied. Our waitress was very pleasant. Would definitely return when we're in the area again.
