Newbury Comics — Local services in Northampton

Whatever the reason, my original rating of what has become a local treasure was not 100%. Its my pleasure to correct it now; not only is their nothing wrong with this place, the staff malena point of learning repeat customers interests and names.. so much so that I've been told "my friend enjoyed that comic, been meaning to mention it to you." In a world where comicbook stores are now disappearing as fast as record stores once did, Newbury Comics MATTERS to this community. THANK YOU ALL! Keep reading and rocking and collecting weird stuff! The staff at this remaining Western MA Newbury location have been on site or in the area for years and years.. they're familiar not only with the varying cultures and attitudes of the local music scene, but they also have a handle on what's making noise around the country and the globe... oh yeah, as the name suggests but few of the locations actually cater to, the comic book section here is fairly robust and there is a number of longtime readers on staff. Newbury comics has a variety of things. And i went there today, their comic books selection has increased, but they have music and dvds and clothes, and magic the gathering booster packs and starter decks and fat packs, they have some pokemon cards and have some cool shirts and posters, collectibles for people into collecting things like DR. WHO merchandise, zelda metchandise for zelda fans, game of thrones merchandise, and if you want to special order something they'll do it. They just put up a Patriots onesy for men, theres always something to find, harry potter fans, theres a restock of merchandise for harry potter fans. As i said theres good stuff and reasonably priced for these collectibles, they buy and sell used dvds,blue ray,and games. Japanese anime dvds. Many different gift ideas for those unique people. I have been goin to newbury comics for 20 yrs and have watched as newbury comics adapted and added more stuff to accommodate people. You can buy a record player there thats with the times. This newbury comics isnt a big store im sure if it was a bigger store it would have much more. And it cant please everyone. So...

I went there to pick up X-Men Legends issues 1 and 2, and they are taking covid very seriously. Only about 10 people in at once and you have to follow the arrows on floor, like the usual stuff. But what I'm happy for most is the people, both customers and staff. All were wearing masks and were social distancing without a problem. Staff was very helpful in pointing me towards the comics and which ones were where. Only thing is that the prices for Pokemon cards were a bit higher than I could afford, but I can't blame them due to all of the scalpers buying most of them to the point where they're out of stock. Amazing comic store, and has all of the nerdy stuff you could want. I also give them props for having records from Foo fighters, Pearl Jam, and others even outside of the rock category that Newbury Comics in my area don't have. 10/10...
