Chicago Illinois Temple — Local services in Northfield Township

This is a beautiful, peaceful place with welcoming volunteers and missionaries. It is a place that allows for quiet contemplation and meditation that allows a break from the noise and commotion of our busy world. A place to learn more about Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father and feel closer to them in a heavenly environment with lovely chandeliers, architecture, flowers, and furnishings. A place of pondering and prayer. My family has visited this specific temple and many other temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and we have truly enjoyed all of our experiences and trips to all of them. The temple is my absolute favorite place to be! It is the most peaceful place on earth that will ever exist. I know I am safe there, and that when I go I’ll experience peace, renewal and cleansing by the Holy Spirit. I also know when I am there that I am close to Jesus and my Heavenly Father. The veil is so thin there too, there are truly many wonderful things to experience there.
