The hotel itself was fine. It’s the customer service that was an issue. First when I made the room reservation I scheduled a ride to the airport at 3:00 in the morning. Then at check in I confirmed with the woman at the lobby counter for a 3:00am pick up. My family and I made our way down to the lobby at 2:45am to be sure to be on time. As the elevator opened the bus driver was glaring at us and said “we’ve been waiting a long time for you we have a full bus!” Immediately this was a negative experience. He was not pleasant with us for the ride. This was so frustrating to experience this kind of attitude from him especially when I reserved and confirmed for a 3:00 ride not a 2:45 (or apparently earlier) ride. Next, we were traveling out of the country. Therefore I had no cell service. On our way back to Chicago our airline delayed us which caused us to miss our connecting flight to Chicago. Immediately when back in the states I called ESTIA to let them know we wouldn’t be back that night but rather the following day. The woman who answered the phone was instantly extremely rude to me saying I messed up their bus schedule, how I should have called earlier, and made it sound like I missed my connecting flight on purpose. As I was trying to explain to her the situation of not being able to get to Chicago that night she kept cutting me off and interrupting/yelling at me which caused me to advise her of treating her customers better! She acted like she had the right to scold me about missing the flight which was not even to fault of my own. Note I was calling as a courtesy because I didn’t want our car to be towed or anything. She never informed me that the shuttle would be on its way and waiting for us which she was yelling at me about. At check in earlier that week, all she instructed me to do was to call when I was ready to be picked up not that they watch for my flight and pick up when the flight lands and how I would mess up their bus schedule if I couldn’t make it. She was extremely rude and disrespectful the entire phone call.
Luckily, our shuttle driver on the way from the airport back to our car/the hotel was a caring gentleman. He was so kind and showed he cared about his passengers. I did not catch his name but this gentleman had a US Navy lanyard on. (He picked us up on 8/22/22 mid afternoon. ) Thank you sir for your kindness and professionalism.
Because of the rudeness and unprofessionalism I experienced from the first shuttle driver (from the hotel to the airport) and the woman at the hotel lobby counter I will not be using ESTIA Hotel & Suites in Glenview again nor will I be recommending them.

Read moreAt first glance, the hotel seems just fine. Clean, slightly updated, not bad.
The service however, is terrible! I prepaid, did their online registration that they sent me via text, and arrived by 8:30 at night. When I arrived, I wandered around and found their bathroom. Then I went back to the front desk and stood there for a while, and finally hollered out hello? Hello? The front desk guy finally came out from behind the wall.
I got to my room, which faces interstate 294, a very heavily traveled highway (lots of trucks!). When I called the front desk to see if there was a room away from the highway, he didn’t even check. He just said “it is not possible.“ OK, I get it, it’s a hotel next to the expressway.
I didn’t feel like going out and finding food, so I used their little “canteen“ near the front desk and purchased one cup of microwave Kraft Mac & Cheese (for an obscene five dollars). I also purchased a 16 ounce bottle of Sprite for three dollars. As I was purchasing it, I told the guy at the front desk that the hand washing soap was empty (everything is liquid here and attached to the walls). I had to ask if he had more soap. He reached into a drawer and took out two little packages of coin shaped soap. OK, I thought, that will tie me over till tomorrow. In the room, they have signs that say they do not provide housekeeping unless you specifically request it. So I made sure I asked specifically for housekeeping to fill the hand wash container tomorrow. He looked very irritated as he wrote that down.
Got back to my room, turned on the TV, popped the mac & cheese into the microwave, and the fuse promptly blew. That took out power to the microwave, mini fridge, TV, desk, lamp, and outlets on that side of the room. I called the front desk and asked for someone to come and fix it, and he said he would call maintenance. Two hours have gone by and no response. I’m already in my pajamas, so I’m not going to go downstairs hunting for a working microwave. I plan to carry the partially cooked mac & cheese downstairs with me when I leave tomorrow to get my five dollar refund.
There’s a sign by the front desk that said this is owned by a franchisee, and something to the effect of, “nothing they say or do here represents Best Western.“ I...
Read moreBOOK HERE! DO NOT HESITATE! On March 1st 2021 we wanted to find a place to park our car for 6 days while we were out of the country. We had a flight that initially was leaving at 4am so we needed a hotel that had transportation 24/7 and safe. The date changed on us and the timeframe. But the front desk clerk took my call and fixed it for me. We would be needing a ride to the airport at 6am instead. The hotel was easy to find. In a safe neighborhood and restaurants in walking distance that were open for seating/dine in. So we get there.... Same receptionist I had talked to the week before greeted us. I could tell by his voice. He upgraded our room just to be nice with a suite. He was so informative on how to set up transportation to and from airport, park where ever you want it will be safe. VERY REASONIBLE and not one problem. NOT 1 !!! We got up early, walked down to lobby after we got ready and the front desk girl greeted us. Went over to the kitchen area and put 2 to go bags together for us and handed them to us. Bagel, cream cheese, banana and yougart. We were surprised, but thankful because there was no food available at airport that early and we had 3 hour wait for plane. (they suggest you be at airport 3 hours prior for international flights). Not even 5 minutes later here comes the driver. All ready to go. Took us to the airport, so very friendly and it only took 15 minutes or less I would guess. He also went over what we need to do when we get back from our trip. We get back 6 days later and we called. He was there within 20 minutes or less and took us to our car. We could not help but tip him pretty good both ways. Before we got back into our car we went in to use the restroom and we were greeted by the same man again. He was once again so nice!! Asked how everything went. This is the way to go if you are going on a trip and need to park your car. It was under $140 with stay/park/fly. Parking at O'HARE is expensive. What a great experience. I would give 10 stars if I...
