The Grove Redfield Estate is a beautiful, photogenic venue. The rental includes the pavilion where we were married in front of the fireplace. Also included are the gazebo, and the Redfield Estate itself, where we hosted our reception. The Redfield Estate had just been refreshed, and looked amazing. On the day of the event, every room of the Redfield Estate was staged and ready for guests. We had our own room upstairs to get ready in, with a bathroom just outside the door. The booking process was pleasant, efficient, and professional. Communication with the venue representative, and we dealt only with one delightful person, was always quick and friendly. The venue includes tables and chairs, and a complete kitchen for your caterer. For modest additional charges, you can run the gorgeous fireplaces. Up to four outdoor heaters are also available for additional charges. The venue provides a very pleasant and helpful person to patrol the grounds during your event, keeping the general public out. There is always someone present to deal with any issues that may come up on the day of your event. On our special day, everything was perfect. Part of the rental includes a reasonable deposit to cover the unlikely event of any damage to the venue. Our deposit was refunded, with expected deductions for the fireplaces, and the heaters we requested, the very next work day after our event. I didn't have to follow up with them, except to offer my profuse appreciation. The Grove Redfield Estate offers you lists of vendors for every facet of your wedding. These references are invaluable. From those lists, we assembled a dream team of caterer, florist, baker, and photographer. They had all worked together before at the venue, and everything was harmonious on the big day. The value of these relationships can not be overstated. When you are planning your wedding, and you are looking for vendors, it is amazing to have a venue provide you a list of choices that have already proven themselves, and that know the venue. When we received our photos, the venue proved to be the perfect setting and backdrop for us and our guests. I wholeheartedly, and enthusiastically recommend The Grove Redfield Estate for your own very...
Read moreWe had an exceptional experience planning our wedding reception at The Grove’s Redfield Estate. The Grove is maintained, operated, and publicly owned by the Glenview Park District. For this reason, venue rental rates at Redfield Estate are an unbelievable bargain. Redfield Estate can be booked to host celebrations in the morning, afternoon, or evening for quite literally a fraction of the cost of a ballroom or golf course reception venue.
Despite the unbeatable price point, Redfield Estate is anything but “cheap” when it comes to quality and aesthetics. Whether you envision the luxury of a high-society wedding reception or simply want to host a semi-casual family reunion; this venue possesses the versatility to make your dream a reality. Our booking afforded us access to an absolutely enormous space that included: an architecturally stunning historic home, a multipurpose outdoor pavilion, a carriage house full of hosting amenities (e.g. tables, chairs, industrial refrigeration), and a beautiful lawn gazebo which is popular for outdoor wedding ceremonies. The natural beauty, expansiveness, and practical accommodations available make Redfield Estate a true "one-of-a-kind" option for an experience you will never forget.
Lastly, the property is exceptionally well managed and has built up a reservoir of trusted artisan vendors. Redfield Estate actively manages a concise list of preferred partners that make it a breeze to find the best local: caterers, DJs, florists, photographers, and more. The property manager who assisted us with our wedding reception (Deborah Rabeor) seemed to have a close working relationship with each organization on Redfield Estates’ list of preferred vendors. These preexisting professional relationships greatly simplified coordination efforts on our end and made for streamlined collaboration on the day...
Read moreThe Redfield Estate will always hold a special place in my heart—it's where I held my own intimate wedding in 2021, and it continues to be one of my favorite venues in the entire Chicagoland area.
Tucked away within The Grove in Glenview, this venue feels like a hidden gem—peaceful, charming, and surrounded by nature. The historic home, stone archway, and sprawling grounds provide a picturesque backdrop for weddings of all sizes, especially for couples looking for something timeless, romantic, and a little bit magical.
As a professional wedding officiant, I’ve had the joy of returning to Redfield many times, and each experience reminds me why I fell in love with it in the first place. The venue is not only stunning—it’s incredibly well-run. The layout makes it easy for guests to enjoy the ceremony and transition seamlessly into the celebration, and there’s something truly special about watching a couple say their vows surrounded by trees, just as I did.
The team at Redfield Estate is truly phenomenal, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about Deborah Rabeor. She is warm, professional, and incredibly skilled at what she does. Deborah has a gift for making every couple feel supported and seen. Her attention to detail and calming presence ensure that each wedding runs smoothly and feels completely unique.
