If it wasn't for the young kids working here, this place would not be worth two stars. In fact, the two stars are for them.
The 'manager' however, clearly hates his job. He is honestly one of the most toxic people I have ever come across. He is rude to customers and has an air of superiority about him. He literally told someone in a condescending tone that if they wore their shoes right that maybe they wouldn't hurt. To me he said 'Hey boss, that elliptical is $1200, if your son breaks it you buy it.' You know, because 'hey boss' is such a friendly way to start a conversation. My son was simply checking out the equipment using it in its intended manner. He caused no damage at any point. I have been considering purchasing a piece of equipment and they had an item I was interested in. But not now, I would rather buy new than buy something here.
He also berated a woman who was trying to get a quote on two items she was trying to sell. He kept trying to take the items when all she wanted was a quote. As if just being there meant she had already decided to sell her items to him. He said 'well, when you figure out what you want to do lady, let me know.' Apparently she didn't follow his required process of him taking her things before providing a quote.
Just so you are aware 'manager', there is no law requiring a customer to purchase anything they break. You would have to prove in court that there was intended negligence on a customers part (which would be highly unlikely when using a piece of equipment for it's intended purpose). I had my son get off the equipment which is what you wanted in the first place. Maybe learn how to speak to customers and ask for what you want rather than taking a condescending tone or find another job. Your teammates will probably enjoy their jobs more without you there. No job is worth being miserable for and it's pretty clear you are miserable.
Won't be back if this clown is still working here. And I will be recommending the...
Read moreThe store is terrible. People please don’t go and don’t even try to talk to those guys over there. They are the rudest and unhappiest people you’ll ever met. We were trying to return an item and they said it’s only in store credit. But never mentioned anything before. Also they sold item saying it’s NIKE but it was actually a Chinese knock off. Avoid at all cost. The customer service is beyond bad. The guy looked at my ear and said “you know that thing you hear with, yeah that thing over there…. You should listen. He then said “call the cops” I asked him why did you marked as Nike since it’s not? He said his system doesn’t allow him to add another brand, in other words let’s alienate our customers. He then went on his computer and started typing really hard on the keyboard. This is like mental unstable and a childish behavior. When we purchased the item, the return policy was never mentioned, never highlighted or anything. I’ve got pictures as well as audio recordings. I’ll reach out to corporate in Minneapolis as my lawyer knows the...
Read moreOur baby sitter and two of my kids just had the most unpleasant experience with the Manager - R. Blunk - at this store.
First experience at this store and what a shame. They had planned to walk out of there with a couple of pairs of roller blades to zoom around on this summer and instead got a lesson in poor customer service and how adults can lie and be mean. Very Disappointed. Reading some of the reviews, it is clear this store has a problem and refuses to address it.
—below is in response for your Non-apology below—
My Kids had no problem with not “roller-blading” around store. In fact, once they were told they couldn’t do that when trying on roller blades they stopped immediately. What they did have a problem with was a manager that refused to assist them, even after they waited patiently.
Sounds like you have a problem in the store (read other reviews including throwing bikes in front of cars and yelling at people in the parking lot) and non-apology apologies...
