I try not to write mean reviews but this was my first visit to this TJ Maxx and I was actually upset by my checkout experience. I found a skirt that had no price tag. I asked the lady if she could check the price if it wasn’t too much trouble. She said it was part of a set and I told her I didn’t see a matching shirt. The store manager, Carla A, was to her left. She turned to Carla and explained that I’m interested in purchasing (etc etc) and no joke - in the middle of her talking, the manager literally turned her head to the opposite direction and completely ignored the woman who was checking me out. (I didn’t catch her name but she was very kind). Carla was checking someone out so I thought maybe she didn’t want to respond until after her transaction was complete, but when she was done she just moved on to the next customer in line. She wouldn’t make eye contact with me or the woman helping me. You could see on her face that it was personal. Something between her and the other employee. It was just so rude. I can’t imagine the working environment here - I’m...
Read moreWent to this TJ MAXX to buy a housewarming gift. Found a wind chime that I liked and it was the last one on the shelf..being cleared out for the next set of inventory. At checkout the girl got the metal stuck in the magnetic stripper and started violently pulling it out as sparkles and paint chipped off. Seeing that this was obviously a terrible idea, another really smart coworker decided to turn the machine off..then proceeds to yank the thing out even more. Once it was out I looked it over and it was slightly damaged so I asked if I could receive a discount. The tall blonde with glasses was extremely unprofessional and was shocked I would ask this. She chuckled to herself and said "We just got those in the store, hun". First of all, don't ever call me hun, hun. I said "Oh then I'll take another one instead of the damaged one". No answer because she knows she is lying. Curious to see if the tall blonde with glasses still has a job next time I go in. And yes, you know who you...
Read moreHad the correct receipt + the unused/unworn Herve Leger dress with manufacturer and store tags and sensor all on in tact and on the dress, which I was returning by the imposed deadline for Christmas purchases. Low and Behold Chris -the GM- CREATED a new RULE at whim that precluded me from returning the dress. She said I had to return the item at the TJ MAXX where I bought it, which means I will be a day late and will have to take a store credit for an expensive RUNWAY item. There is nothing on the receipt that says purchases must go back to the store of origin. Chris invented that! LAST TIME I EVER WALK INTO CHRIS' TJ MAAX! She lacks managerial skills and customer service worthy of any customer. She makes up rules when she does not want to return a legitimate purchase, to the detriment and inconvenience of the...
