I have shopped at this antique mall for over 10 years and made several purchases. I have had a good experience with a few of the dealers directly. With regards to their going out of business sale, my experience was absolutely horrible due to my interactions with the direct owner who was acting as the cashier and who publically humiliated me when I asked for a refund for an overcharge. She first gave me a typed estimate on my items as none of the signs are accurate for their current discounts. She allowed me to step out of line to make my decision since several items were higher priced than I expected. When I got back in line, she was very frustrated that I had to put some items back because they didnât accept the form of payment I was planning to use. I was still making a sizeable purchase and even said that I would like to purchase the other items if they didnât sell. She continued to be very rude and condescending to the nice dealer who was helping me by yelling at him to âstopâ anytime he interjected in my defense. When I got home, I checked my receipt and saw that I was overcharged. When I went back to the store to obtain my refund, and after waiting in a long line, she told me she would not help me and to go to the end of the line. She also stated loud enough that âI ruined her day with my original transactionâ so that the other customers could hear. She continued with her snarky remarks such as âyou talk too muchâ and refused to address my refund concerns. She told the other customers that I had put items back when the person in front of me put four pieces of jewelry back (which apparently was not an issue with that customer.) She went on to imply that I took the price tag when I was not supposed to! (Her employee wrapped up my items with the tag on it.) She was flat out rude, insulting and condescending. Not even considering that I was a long-time customer who spent close to $400 in this transaction. I find it sad that someone feels they can treat others this way when the party at fault was the business who overcharged me. I will never shop here again and recommend that others stay away from this corrupt,...
Read moreI walked in and was super impressed by the store's cleanliness and organization. However, I was quickly put off when I saw a NAZI soldier hat being prominently displayed for sale.
I found the owner and asked if she was aware of the item. She said yes, and I asked why she would sell an artifact that represents hate, discrimination and MURDER! She adamantly, repeatedly and dismissively replied: "It's a piece of history, and it's not like I'm selling items from the camps."
I then told her that as a Jewish women with family members who lived through the holocaust, I was incredibly offended and couldn't believe she was trying to make money off such a thing. Coldly and defensively, she said: "well, the last customer (who overheard our convo) is Jewish, and she wasn't offended. Plus, my sister-n-law is Jewish. Stunned by her careless response, I said: I'm very much appalled - and not only did I feel unwelcome, but would not be purchasing anything. She shrugged it off and said "I'm sorry you feel that way."
I am shocked that a reputable small business would try to make a profit off an item that was a part of one of the most horrific events in history. Furthermore, I am incredibly insulted and disgusted by the way I was disrespected in voicing my concerns.
It's obvious that this business only cares about making money and customer service is not a priority. Lastly, it is outrageously concerning that such an establishment exists in such a small, family-oriented community.
Shame on this store!

Read moreI am a long time customer of this mall, I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan and also own an antique store....
I read other reviews by some people and have to laugh out loud. They give this mall a bad name because they give bad reviews due to what a dealer has in their booth. The mall doesn't determine what the dealer has in their booth OR for the price OR if it's fake or not. How would you expect a mall to know if every single item in it is legit, especially a place this large? If you have a problem with a dealer, tell the mall and pass it to the dealer, do bash the mall for it. Second, yes you may have had a problem with the staff, that DOESN'T mean everyone else has and that doesn't meant no one should ever visit the mall again. That's just short minded and lame of someone to say. Reviews are to help people know what is in the store and it's over all conduct of business. Problems will happen , so don't take ONE persons word for it. After all, thousands of people have been in here over the years, INCLUDING me and we don't have anything...
