I got my wedding dress altered here and it was the most beautiful, perfect work. My dress fit me like a glove and it looked like it had never been touched/right off the rack. Since my experience here, I’ve seen many brides with “just ok” hems and bustles that were poorly done, so I’m actually writing this review several months later, now that I fully appreciate even more the exceptional work that was done on my gown. When I went in for my first appointment, I only had 2 ideas of styles of bustles, but was encouraged to do a different style I didn’t even know existed and it was PERFECT. They took in my gown for me, restructured the bust, took the side slit up about an inch and a half, hemmed it, and did the invisible bustle. It was expensive, but totally worth it. I was a bride on a budget so I understand the concern of price. But, if you’re looking for a cheaper option, understand that there aren’t always instances where you want a lower price. If the dress/outfit is important enough to you to get altered/hemmed, it’s worth the price of top quality. And that’s exactly what you’ll get here. Could not recommend this place enough.

She seemed like a nice lady but the price was insane! I had a single layer dress to be hemmed with no other alterations and she wanted to charge me $100! I couldn't believe it and told her I would need to go somewhere else. She ended up making me pay $15 for the time is took to measure the length for me (about 5 minutes) which I understand but that alone is quite steep. I regret not asking for an estimate before. I ended up calling another seamstress and she quoted $30 for the same dress - More than three times less! (I did end up going to the other location, less than 15min drive away and paid the $30). I’d like to clarify that the dress was never pinned by World Custom Alterations as their reply states - however they did apply a chalk line to the dress. I can't speak to the quality of work at World Custom Alterations but I could never pay their...

I cannot express enough how much I adore this place and Polina. I found out world custom alteration through the bridal boutique where I got my wedding dress from. I was desperate because I only had 1 month before my wedding and the dress needed a LOTTTT of alteration. Polina really was a life saver and she was very receptive and amazing about my request for the dress to be done in time. After I saw how that turned out, I also asked her to do my second dress, veil, my fiancés suit, and moms dress; she’s just that good. I’m so happy I found this place and Polina. She’s quick, works beautifully on everything she puts her hands on, and is very reassuring and understanding. Trust me, you will thank me for choosing this place.
