I went to Dream beauty supply to get my eyelashes done. There was a young man doing eyelashes today. I asked him how long has he been doing eyelashes. He proceeded to tell me two years. I said OK awesome, I would like to get individual lashes. We went to the back of the store where they do the eyelashes. I noticed that the gentleman had started doing my lashes but that he had not sanitized his hands. His hands smelled like cigarettes. I did not want to offend him by asking him to use the hand sanitizer, but as you know when you're getting your lashes done they have to put their fingers in your eyes and on your face. I politely asked the gentleman could he please use the hand sanitizer. He was hesitant at first, but eventually used the saniter then proceeded to say "my hands are cleaner than your face." I tried my best not to get upset and proceeded to explain to him that I was not trying to offend him. He then stated that he didn't know whether or not my face was clean enough for his hands. He also stated that he would take his time on the last eye he had left to install eyelashes on, in order to not touch my face. Needless to say once he got done, I was not satisfied with the last eye that he had to do eyelashes on. Also, while he was doing my eyelashes there were multiple times when his tools got stuck in my kinky hair (I have natural hair) and he never apologized, just forced his tools out of my hair. After he finished doing my eyelashes, I explained my frustration to one of the employees on duty and he made the guy that did my eyelashes apologize, but no one offered to give me my money back nor did anyone offer to give me any incentive for my experience. I have been going to this beauty supply store for approximately four years. The service has never been that great, but this was definitely the last straw. I will never ever go back to Dream Beauty Supply store again and I would not recommend this place to anyone that I know! The employees here are VERY rude and have not been trained to provide exceptional...
Read moreI grew up in North City just down Natural Bridge from the shopping center; so I have had the opportunity to see how the place has changed over the years. Unfortunately, the place has devolved a bit. The plaza is home to a chop suey that used to be fairly decent, but now the place is dingy-looking; the same can be said about the Subway. Also the plaza had a great bowling alley my family and I used to frequent every Sunday afternoon, which has now apparently closed. However, the center has a Dollar Tree, which is great for cheap nick naks, Walgreens, and a Penn Station sub shop, which, in my opinion, is its saving grace. I suppose I could recommend the plaza for that last reason alone, but unfortunately, like many shopping plazas in North County, North Oaks...
