Go-to for wedding dress alterations, and more specially, lace gowns. I realized I was two months out from my wedding and did a random google search for seamstresses in CT. I selected Joaldi’s because of the high-praise google reviews ,specifically on lace wedding gowns. It takes a skilled seamstress to work with lace and was comforted on all the positive reviews I read that I was picking the right place. I am only through my second dress fitting but what I like about Rosie is that she actually provides recommendations on what and how something should/can be altered which is extremely beneficial when you’re already planning the rest of the wedding. I also like that she straight and honest with me. If she didn’t think something would work, she let me know. At my fitting last week, she told me she had to start turning down new clients because she was being kept very busy but granted some people were asking less than 2 months in advance. Be reasonable ladies, if you want quality work during the busiest wedding season (covering 2020 AND 2021 brides) she needs notice to accommodate. I highly recommend Rosie to anyone with a lace gown. I was referred to Joaldi's after I purchased my wedding dress from BHLDN. My dress was a very delicate, lace gown which I knew was going to require someone who paid very close attention to detail. As soon as Rosy started explaining what exactly she was going to do, I knew I was in the right hands. Her attention to detail is amazing. She went as far as wearing rubber gloves when working on my dress so her fingers wouldn't pull on any of the lace. At my last visit, Rosy made absolutely sure that I was happy with the way my dress fit. I never felt uncomfortable asking for her to change anything as she was more than happy to accommodate. Rosy is unbelievably talented and amazing at what she does. Her and her team did my bridesmaids' dresses, my mother in law's dress, and my mother's dress and everyone looked perfect. I cannot even begin to write how amazing Rosy is. I am so impressed and grateful. I had purchased a robe while traveling and knew it would make an amazing dress. However, I wasn't sure who would be able to complete my vision. I went into the shop after reading other reviews and Rosy, excitedly, took on my project. When I arrived to pick it up, words can't express how impressed I was. The fabric has many different patterns on it and Rosy meticulously lined up the patterns to ensure that they flowed throughout the dress. She hid belt loops so I could choose to wear the dress with or without the belt she created. Rosy added in a zipper that was hidden away and did not distract from the dress. The front and back were perfectly stitched so that the fit was perfect - not at all boxy.

Everything that Rosy did showed her expertise, but also her care in her work. I will not be going anywhere else!
