East Avenue Pizza — Restaurant in Norwalk

I definitely found this pizza spot by accident and consider it my go to pizza all the way. I don’t even live in CT, yet try to frequent this location; ideally quarterly. The crust is buttery (or maybe oily), but it doesn’t matter because the cheese quality and flavor pairing of whatever tomato sauce they use is delicious. My thought is the owners are from a different part of Europe than the often-atypical Italian style of pizza, because the bread/dough is prepared differently – thus adding to the perfect way this pizza is made. The pies are smaller than a typical box – I’d say a large is more in line with Dominoes boxes (which is really a medium pizza at other Pizza shops). The oil composition can also be much, not insane, but your hands fingers will need to be properly cleaned after holding the slice. George & Louie's East Avenue Pizza is by far the best pizza in Norwalk and lower Fairfield County. The crust is light and crisp, but palatable. The "pan crust" is even better! Religiously filled with an immerion of different rustic olive oil tones, this crust is famous after one bite. The sauces are enjoyable and the toppings are always fresh. Small interior, which I would normally complain about, but when you just want to enjoy good company and pizza, who cares? Salads are top notch and pastas/entrees are filling and fantastic.

Tried today for the first time after being home for the first time in a few months. Dad just discovered this place recently and liked it so we ordered the new hot oil pizza and a cheese calzone. As a current NYC resident can confidently say this is some of the best pizza I've ever had! The hot oil pizza is phenomenal. Crust and consistency is thin which is nice cuz oftentimes pizza can be too greasy and feel so heavy but this pizza feels so light! Awesome prices and portions.
