west elm — Local services in Norwood

I purchased the Desi Dino quilt AND SHAMS set listed on clearance on west elm kids website. The description says quilt and shams. The overview also says quilt and shams, but also says they’re sold individually and separately. So my take on that was; you get a sham and quilt like the item is listed, and you can purchase more shams if need be. So I was surprised when only the quilt showed up in my order. I called customer service. The representative agreed with me, that there should be a sham in the set or I should be able to send it back. But because the item was on clearance, the managers kept “getting back to her” (instead of talking to me like I asked) and telling her they weren’t going to send me a sham or refund my money. So here I am with a quilt I can’t even use and money thrown away. So beware, they use false advertising to sell products and the management in customer service refuse to speak with customers and make the representatives relay information they...

I like the furniture sold at this store, it's pretty nice, although the store feels kind of small and honestly doesn't have a very good selection on offer. Most of the pieces felt pretty generic and same-y, and since you have to order it all anyway what's really even the point lol?

The decor options were pretty great though so I will give them that. I appreciated it!

The prices in the store too didn't seem to reflect the sales going on that I saw online, so I think the workers should probably put a little more effort into highlighting this. Although nobody even spoke to us during our time in the store, which was weird, but honestly not that bad since we just got a couple of things and quickly left.

If you're looking at something they have online and want to see it in-person before you buy, call ahead to make sure they have it on display before making the trip. I wish I did, perhaps then I wouldn't have been so...

Love the look of West Elm decor. Picked out three lights for a new home remodel project. Knew I could get them "cheaper" somewhere else, but loved the look of these better. Although they said they could be picked up in store, upon arrival it turns out only 1 and part of 1 were available. The box there had a note sold, but returned, was completely sealed/taped closed. So I took it as they offered a discount because it was a return. We opened it there and it appeared fine. I took it home and of course a piece is missing. Next the light that was delivered weeks later that has 3 globes ended up to be poor quality for the price. The globes do not hang the same and look terrible now that it is up. I wish I would have gone somewhere else because now I have a return for the missing part item and I'm not happy with the light that is already...
