CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! Five Little Monkeys is a cute toy store with a good selection, but when I noticed the gift I purchased rang up $5 more than the price on the tag, the clerk told me this happens often and “there’s nothing they can do” because they haven’t the tags in the store because prices are going up and they haven't had the time. There’s even a sign at the register stating that the store should honor tagged prices — yet she refused any adjustment.
I asked to speak with the manager, but instead the clerk called me back later offering the difference as a $5 store credit. I requested a refund to my card, but was told they “could not.” I live too far away to make a return in person, so the offer was essentially useless.

For the second time in a row our kids have been disappointed by buying a $30 toy that was cheap disposable plastic we could have gotten at Walmart for $5.
The thing with local B&M stores is that there are no reviews, so we trust the proprietors to deliver good products, and are willing to pay a premium to support them. They failed here.
