Lotus Head Spa — Local services in Nutley

I recently visited this new spa for a head spa treatment, and I have to say, it was a major disappointment. Having experienced head spa treatments in New York and NJ, I can confidently say that this place falls far short of the mark.

First of all, it's clear they have no understanding of proper head spa techniques. The process they use feels cheap and unrefined, completely lacking the quality and attention to detail I've experienced elsewhere.

Additionally, there is no sense of privacy during the treatment. The partitions between stations are nothing more than flimsy panels, which do nothing to create a relaxing or private environment.

To top it off, booking an appointment is a nightmare. Their website is poorly designed and difficult to navigate, making it incredibly frustrating to secure a slot.

I have lived in the neighborhood for years and saw this location for the past year and was curious. When I stopped in, I was happily surprised. The staff is kind and welcoming, and the services they offer are not only enjoyable, but also provide relaxation and peace. I did not know what to expect, but the head spa treatment included not only a beautiful massage of the head and a cleansing for my scalp and hair, but also a mini facial and a upper body massage. The technician, Natalia 🇨🇴, was incredibly skilled, professional, and thoughtful. I went in a bit, tense and stressed and left feeling peaceful and fresh. I want to provide some positive feedback! This was me and my daughter’s 1st head spa experience. Overall 10/10 the service was amazing the staff was so very kind and friendly. The only thing I would recommend is a bit more hair education for the staff on products and how to handle curly or coarse hair. towards the end my hair felt dry the young lady seemed nervous I assured her it was okay she did great I’m a licensed cosmetologist I simply just requested some leave in conditioner and brushed my hair out she was very apologetic but again it’s okay not everyone knows how to deal with hair.
