Update; owner offered a gift certificate so that we could return and have a good experience but they didn’t leave any way for me to communicate with them! An email address please I would give zero or negative stars if I could. Where to start? This restaurant failed us for Sunday brunch on just about every account! Starting with how long we waited to even be greeted by our waiter. Then drinks arrived and my diet soda was completely flat. We ordered French toast, crabcake Benedict, and a side of two eggs scrambled. French toast was cold and dry, and it was served with what the menu said is maple syrup, but it wasn’t. It was just maple-flavored syrup, big difference! The butter was these tiny plastic tubs of country crock! The fruit that came on the side of the French toast was not good. I got one decent blueberry and the rest of it was junk. I don’t know what is put in the scrambled eggs, but I’ve never seen eggs that color or texture and there was this sweet flavor to it and no salt and pepper on the table and I couldn’t get my waiter’s attention to get us some so I tried to eat it, but I gave up because I didn’t even know what I was eating. When my friends Benedict showed up, there was a sunny side up egg on it instead of a poached egg so she had to send it back to get the egg fixed. The potatoes that came with it were literally raw in spots, all of them! To top it off, the crab is canned crab and it’s just salty and gross. All she could eat was the asparagus and a few bites of the lettuce that came on the side. (See photos of what we left on our plates.) Needless to say we were both still very hungry when we left so we had to go get some food straight away. We started out with getting protein drinks at Infinitea (so yummy) and we walked to Foodland Farms to get bentos and fruit plates. I can’t even give a star for the atmosphere because it was so noisy with plenty large screen TVs playing football. If you’re looking for a nice place for brunch on a Sunday, this is not the place! I wanted to get the manager because I didn’t want to pay for food that I didn’t eat, but my friend was too shy about it. Granted after my friend pointed out the raw potatoes, her drink charge was removed. Still yet, we each paid nearly $30 for nothing. So very disappointing to say the least. Ps. See Yelp review for photos as I don’t see where...
Read moreMoani is right next door to the Hampton Inn that we are staying at and each day after a fun, tiring day we have thought of the convenience of the location and finally tried it tonight. It’s funny as we asked a few residents what the place was like and their responses were all positive and different and essentially I am glad we tried it out.
From the hostess, to the waitress to the cooks, and multiple others that swung by our table, we had amazing service and while not too intrusive, it was friendly and happy and the perfect place for our Christmas Eve dinner.. we had the Poi as we had tried it at the cultural center and wanted to see how it was served in a restaurant. To a main lander it still was barely edible for me and if I had access to it at home i would eat it like i do the celery juices, beet juices etc—- for health alone :). Charles and i then split the steak dish with kimchi and it was so flavorful and really very good and cooked perfectly. The dish came out steaming and was as good as it looked and fed two adults… and we did not leave hungry…. We also had a very fresh and flavorful side salad with some amazing vinaigrette dressing. My partner loved the dressing so much he dipped some of his steak in it… what????? The flavor was so good without it, i was surprised!
Anyway, wonderful last experience in Kapolei— tomorrow we head to Waikiki- Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas…. I would name names but i was enjoying the moment and didn’t get them (I’m sorry), however, i believe we spoke to nearly every employee there and each was as fun, kind and friendly as the next and we never waited...
Read moreWent in on a Wednesday evening with friends, first time for me and I loved it! The service was friendly and fun. Coming in i was greeted by the hostess with a warm smile and a welcome. My party was already there, stem I sat down instantly the server was there with water and a menu and have me a few minutes to look over the items and I placed my order. Our servers were very attentive, we barely had to ask for refills or to order anything. He was skates there to see about us, cost items away and set down fresh napkins. This was very nice as it went later into the evening and became busier, our server never forgot about us!! One server even stopped to help me take a group picture (I was struggling..lol) he didn't have to do that but he did. The drinks and food, top notch, its a bistro, so they had many pupus and drinks and a few main entrées to choose from. Everything was hot and AMAZING! The bistro was very clean and very neat and to top off the great atmosphere there was live music! A local singer preformed cover songs and she was amazing! This place is a nice spot for families and as the evening goes on a great place for couples and adult gatherings.. definitely will come back to...
