So Iâve been a faithful shopper at this store since 2009, however today will be my last day shopping here. I went in to return 2 items for $50. My problem with the store is that their policy is exchange only, no money back. This would be fine, if the fitting rooms were open! The fitting rooms have been closed due to Covid, and itâs been 2 years, they said theyâre not re opening because of short staff but itâs always at least 5-6 workers standing around. If I could try the clothes on, I never wouldâve bought them because I couldâve seen how they fit on me. I know for a FACT, their profits have skyrocketed since no one can try on & they donât give refunds. The older cashier told me, âIf You donât like it, donât shop here.â What a TERRIBLE ATTITUDE to your customers. Fine, they wonât get anymore of my money. Letâs take our BLACK $$ somewhere itâs appreciated. They are getting rich off of us and donât care, itâs ridiculous & Im sick of it.
**In response to the owner. Just to be clear, I weigh 126 pounds and am btwn a size small/ medium. I never squeeze into anything. If at all possible, I brought back the size mediums after I tried on at home since Iâm not allowed to try on in store (which were in great condition bc I am a honest person and wouldnât expect a return on worn items). I returned a black knit dress, which was actually too big (not squeezed into). Merch credit is not like cash bc I canât spend it anywhere. Interesting how nothing was said about the employees attitude, when the owner was right in the back and watched it all happen, and didnât step in. I was not irate, going off or cussing, but just trying to get an understanding. Good business owners have rules, but make exceptions to the rule for long time customers, I wasnât asking for much. Itâs correct i accepted the store credit and bought gloves for a Christmas gift bc why let it go to waste? But i decided I donât like the policy and itâs not the policy in itself but the fact that the fitting rooms are closed indefinitely (when all others are open, target, tj maxx, Marshallâs, Zara etc.) Since I am small and in btwn two sizes, I always need to try on. That is my issue. Itâs been 3 months, I keep my word and will...
Read moreI returned an item and received store credit, store credit is good for a year. When I realized, I still had the credit it was 2 days past the year mark. I was thinking two days maybe they can work with me, so I called. The sales associate over the phone told me that it was possible to attempt to work something out given that it was only 2 days past the expiration. However when I went into the store, a difference sales associate, told me it wasn't possible. She didn't check with the manager; she simply told me NO. I called later to speak with the manager, and I'm awaiting an answer. In my opinion, if I spend money with a company, and I'm already unable to money back my store credit should never expire. It's money not milk; it doesn't have an expiration date. I wish the situation could have been handled better; it's the principle for me. I believe when you're great to your customers they're great to you. Will not be spend money here after today.
Forgot to mention the manager was UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!
Update: I decided I wouldnât punish the business for life and after my initial review four years ago I decided to try it again today 1/20/21 and my review still stands if I could give zero stars I would.... the clothes look and feel cheap and my overall experience...
Read moreIâm a long time customer of over 20years when the store was just For Kids Only. I love shopping at Leytonâs, they have nice prices and good quality clothing and accessories. Although I love Leytonâs and would have given them a 5 star rating but thereâs one extremely rude employee by the name of Lynda that makes shopping there a little less desirable. Lynda follows right up behind you as you shop and rearrange things before you can walk away from the merchandise, she doesnât excuse herself, just kind of move you out of the way. Lynda also makes rude comments, displaying poor customer service skills. Seeing that this is not my first or second time encouraging her rudeness, Iâve also witnessed her being rude with another customer and the customer started complaining to me about Lyndaâs rudeness. She would be that one employee to keep me from returning to shop at Leytonâs again. I addressed my issues with the manager Sharda, Iâm sure Iâm misspelling their names but anyway, the manager was very pleasant and understanding of my complaint and will be handling the matter. I donât want to cost any their job especially in today economy, but Lynda need to work in the back and not...
