WOW! Literally just WOW! I had a patient of mine order cookies from here recently as a treat for my staff, and I was blown away how absolutely phenomenal these cookies were. My favorite was the guava, with a taste that is absolutely indescribable. So fresh, cake like, yet with a cookie edge. Fresh fruit filling that tasted like an actual guava it was just sitting in the middle of the cookie. Sweeting off for a sweet treat, but not so sweet that you don’t taste the goodness of the cookie itself. I was absolutely overwhelmed. I decided to pop in today to pick up a few guava for myself on my way home and ended up buying something the (owner?) offered.. he said it was an “ugly looking cookie, but tasted great”. It was a chocolate chip cookie made with orange and had a dollop of chocolate on the top for good measure. He assured me it was delicious so I took his word for it and bought one. He absolutely undersold that because as much as I love the guava, this orange/chocolate cookie was absolutely out of this world!! so moist, so flavorful, just a very slight hint of orange, but with a chewy and soft flavorful consistency! Had I known I would like it so much I would’ve definitely bought a few more. The store itself is so quaint and while it’s off the beaten path, it is definitely one to visit. The mantra on the wall is just absolutely beautiful (see photo) and really adds to just what a wonderful spot “beans and dough” is. I ordered some cookies cause someone gave me some kind of gift card for this place and it says I can use it on cookies and anything else. When I got there, the man said no it’s only cookies. I told the company plenty of times but that’s not my fault. The coupon said anything not what he wanted He told me a dozen cookies would be $20 plus change so I thought I’d be paying like $22. Then he changed it to like oh you owe me $8.50 after the $20 coupon. I couldn’t return the cookies because once you enter the coupon code it’s not refundable so I just gave the cookies away to people in the store. He tried to stop me, but then I said to him they’re my cookies I can do anything I want with them. Someone took them. I hope they enjoy them. When I was leaving, he said have a nice day, but it was very condescending. I can’t tell you about the quality, but the cookies were like no big deal. Other companies That specialize in cookies I would go to, this place never again. Quick update the owner said some things that were untrue about how I was rude and I made people feel uncomfortable. It’s just a total lie. When I took my cookies that I ordered I gave them to somebody and they said thank you. Then I left quietly and respectfully. Again, the owner of totally lied. Impressed is an understatement. I have passed this place thousands of times and today I finally stopped. Parking is free and easy. As soon as you walk in the door, you are hit with the aroma of fresh cookies then greeted with a smile. Mike was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about coffee. They have hot and iced made fresh and they even know exactly which farm the beans came from. My coffee was flavorful and one of the best cups I’ve had in Florida. I also had a matcha pistachio cookie that was perfect. I wish I bought 10 more. The space is really cool. They have local artists who display their work and have a little bit of everything for sale.
