I went to this location for some VR games for the kids. I walk in and I was ask what I needed and I said VR games and the manager said they only sell them digitally. I know it was the manager cause he said it to me while he was calling the cops. I will get to that. This happened in 20 minutes. I said ok and began to look around. I was there and you know what I found one. Then I ask do you have anymore and the other guy that was there said I checked the system and he said no. I went back to look around and found another one, but I was told that they couldnât find it, so this is where the manager looked at me with disgust cause I ask would it bother you to double check. The manager walked over to look over not happy at all because I took him away from his phone. The other guy said would you like to order it was like ok and proceeded to ask what other games can I order, and the manager away from me said all of them we have 10,000 games, so you need to know exactly what game you want to order. Then I was like ok. Hey I am in my 40s and I was there to surprise the kids. Things went south quick the managers frustration grew he said they only made 10 games for PS4 VR. At this point I said youâre not very helpful he was super mad and kick me out and proceeded to call the cops. No yoke he called the cops this guy has a huge issue. I was shocked at this point I am not sure what happened maybe those games are not full price or I really hate to say it I donât look like him. Perplexed at this point donât go here if...
Read moreI am writing to file a serious complaint regarding the conduct of the manager who opened the store on July 4, 2025, at your Oakland Park location (821 E Commercial Blvd).
I arrived at the store after confirming online that the Nintendo Switch 2 was listed as in stock for $449.99. When I inquired about the item, the male employee presentâwho identified himself as the store managerâimmediately became confrontational. He denied that the product was in stock, despite it still showing available online. Two other customers in the store confirmed they had seen the same listing.
When I politely asked for his name in order to file a corporate complaint, the manager escalated the situation in front of those other customers by threatening to call the police.
I did nothing inappropriate or aggressiveâI merely wanted to document who I had spoken to so I could report the discrepancy properly. His threat was uncalled for, highly unprofessional, and clearly intended to intimidate.
It is unacceptable for any employeeâespecially a store managerâto respond to a legitimate customer inquiry with hostility and threats, especially in front of other customers. This creates a hostile and unwelcoming environment for all shoppers.
I am requesting a formal investigation into this incident and the employeeâs behavior. I also request a written follow-up regarding what corrective actions will be taken, and contact information for the district or...
Read moreWish I could give 0 stars... this was my first time even going to a GameStop as opposed to going to a smaller, family-owned business or just purchasing online and I regret it entirely. Went in on a Tuesday to preorder a game coming out Friday. I was told by both employees working that they were doing a midnight release the coming Thursday night at 9pm. Showed up only for the manager to be waiting for all midnight release customers to turn them away. Only excuse was "Sorry, youre not the only one. There is no midnight release". When I came in Friday afternoon to pick the game up, I explained the situation to a new employee and she goes "Oh, were you the guy waiting outside at midnight last night?"
Just sad and poorly managed. First and last time I ever give a penny to this...
