**edit: the owner keeps replying to my bad reviews on websites with made up information every time. "damaged goods" lol, the sole of the shoe that they sold literally fell off and the owner was the absolute rudest human being I have ever experienced. In front of my kids nonetheless. You can see my profile and I review lots of places with great reviews and hardly EVER give negative. If I could give this place less than 1 I would. Place stole my husband's money. He bought a pair of shoes that Broke not even 5 minutes after leaving. He brought them back within the 14 days that is CLEARLY ON THE RECEIPT. Owner said no money back or store credit and they changed their return policy to 7 days and haven't updated anywhere. Do not shop here unless you want to be ripped off. Horrible customer service. Horrible products. HORRIBLE owner. She's rude, selfish, and has ZERO customer service. Good luck shopping here. Oh and the TAGS were In the shoe and she tried to say we didn't have the tags. Oh... And then Walked away from us super immaturly. Pictures attached of receipt that says 14 days and the tags. Good luck to anyone who wants to get ripped off.

Extremely clean, organized, excellent selection of gently used clothing. Prices were great on clothing with the exception of some name brand items that were IMO overpriced, for instance handbags were overpriced. They had a lot of new with tags items. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful when I had a question. Great sales! Some tags on my visit today were 1/2 off! Highly recommend stopping in. They also purchase used clothing so if you have bags to donate I’d try selling there first & make a few $$$. If I wasn’t traveling here from Massachusetts I’d have left with triple of what I purchased!! I’ll definitely be back should I visit the area again!

I’m new to the area and was looking for a high end boutique type store for designer products. I was very happy when I found Cheapskates. So, on Monday Sept 23 I decided to visit their establishment. I was checking out their products, which look more warehoused and unorganized. I still have the store a chance and listened to the staff gossiping and talking about the business to a new worker. I found two pieces of clothing that were my size, and proceeded to the counter. I noticed they had imposter colognes, but was not interested in them. A blonde haired woman whom I believe was the owner. I found Vetiver de Guerlain on the counter, and was confused as to whether it was woman’s or men’s. It said Eau de Toilet, but with their tag on the top it said cologne. I was assured by the owner and one of the worker that it was Men’s cologne. Today before heading out I decided to spray some on me. The. I caught the scent and realized it was indeed a Woman’s perfume. I read the receipt, and was under the impression I could return it within 30 days. I decided to be proactive and return it today. I went to the counter and was patient until it was my turn. A young lady with a thick accent started assisting me. I explained to her what had happened, and requested a refund, I would have accepted a store credit as well. The young lady asked if I could enter my information into the system, but then she became very condescending towards me, and said because I had it for four days I couldn’t return it. She even said it wasn’t her problem. I’ll admit I became irate. I’ve run many businesses and have never treated a customer as if they were below me. She stated that she was the Manager. She obviously isn’t a very good one if she believes being rude to a customer who has purchased a product and was misinformed by not just the owner, but by staff as well. Of course this elevated the situation. She talked to me as if she were superior. I told her I was going to file a complaint and she snickered at me, and rudely waved her hand at me to go away. I got more angry, and started to leave. She was yelling at me from behind the counter to get out. As I was leaving, she marched behind the counter, came up to my face, waved her arm in the air and almost smacked me in the face telling me to leave or she was going to call the police. Really? You have me enter my information in your system, and then deny me a return on something you all said was for me, and then force me to keep it? Needless to say, I will never do business with this store again. I’ve shopped many boutiques store in NYC, and I’ve always been met with complete professionalism. I’m appalled that they would have a manager within the store who is not only condescending, but completely unprofessional. So, if you’re buying any designer men’s items from this store, be sure it’s actually for men, and don’t let the staff talk you into it without being sure of your purchase. I’m going to check all avenues of filing a complaint against this business. The item may have been only $30.00, but it’s the principal. I advise the owner to train your manager on how to act like a professional, and how to diffuse a situation instead of escalating it. If she were my employee, she’d be written up. I’m sure the other reviews that are a one star here are because of this same individual. Good luck having her. You’re going to...

I don’t recall catching her name, but we have had a back-and-forth for several weeks. Just recently, I finally sold a pair of Sketchers shoes and she remembered me. Which was impressive given that I hadn’t been there in quite some time. If she reads this and wants to know who I am on the sly: I’m the guy she said was calm and funny and should be a comedian. 😉

I was trying to sell a pair of shoes that my late girlfriend - who died last year from breast cancer - had bought for our children, and she was very empathetic and sympathetic to the fact that it was hard for me to part with them.

The shoes themselves were nothing special. It was more a matter of keeping the children in line and making sure that it didn’t become a point of contention between the two of them, given she had not decided who would get the shoes before she passed away.

She didn’t have to sit and listen to my story, but she was attentive and compassionate, which had nothing to do with the sale itself. Given how customer service and the true art of being attentive to the customer is a dead art, I thought she did an exceptional job.

Unfortunately, I can’t remember her name (In my defense, I’m more of a face person. Once I see your face, I’ll never forget it.) but she was a dark skinned woman, lithe in appearance and talent, with a lot going on with her outfit. She also had a piercing on her nose I believe, and she carried herself like “management” the way she instructed several people while I was there.

I still believe in customer service. It can change the way you experience your time anywhere, let alone your willingness to purchase or engage regardless of the circumstances.

Overall, the store is quite unique in that it offers high-quality products to the public for reduced prices.

I think those prices could be reduced further given these are clothes people have worn before (hint hint cough cough and all that), but I will take that, as I said, because your staff, and this particular person, made the experience not only memorable,...

I went in only because the lady I was on the phone with told me they take a lot or brands I was skeptical due to the negative reviews, when I first came in they weren’t really trying to say “hello welcome to cheapskate” they were mostly converting between themselves and being on their phones, they really didn’t seem like they enjoyed helping that much, they told me it would take about 15 minutes which is understandable, I looked at the items that they had in stock. they had some similar items to what I brought in as soon as I walked out not even 2 minutes they called and let me know that my items weren’t what they we’re looking for which is completely acceptable but what made me question them was I had over 15 items I don’t know how in less then 2 minutes they were able to determine that they didn’t want to sell I wish they had let me known that’s they weren’t even interested at looking at my items instead of wasting my time, I had asked why they didn’t want certain items just to get clarification I was told some items were older then 2 years old and because they said they were “too old fashion” which there store if full of “old fashion” items I really wish they were more professional and just let me know that they weren’t interested from the moment I walked in. I felt their energy wasn’t going to be helpful, I really should’ve just went with my gut instinct and listen to the reviews. I’m going to put the brands I have so others can determine if there items would be taken or not. Sharagano dress original price is ($109) never worn Jolie&joy shirt retail price ($18) never worn Cato sports wear set (21.99) never worn New York company, almost famous No boundaries, H&M,true rock, SHEIN,Guess, vanilla store, Lilly white ,art2class, DZARM, fire and rain, Fashion nova, and it took me 10 minutes to go though the brands, look up the retail price and and write...
