It's Your Move Games — Local services in Oakland

Wonderful friendly local game store on a main street with a very helpful, kind, and outgoing staff. I work at another FLGS in the area and had a great conversation with Aaron about games, gaming, and the local industry. They have a good selection of games from across genres and are now one of the only spots in the East Bay that trades in MTG singles, which is a big draw.

They also have a membership program that let's you rent games from their bountiful library very cheap—an awesome way to check out new games to see if you're interested in purchasing it (it should also be noted, the games are kept in really nice condition ... they're not grubby and broken like some of the game cafes in Berkeley/Oakland).

Overall, this is a great place to stop in if you're having a good day...

I like this shop. It's a mom-and-pop friendly-local-game-shop. They have a good selection of boardgames, a well-stocked selection of Pathfinder and Starfinder game books, a bit of miniatures and card games (i.e Magic: the Gathering). They have a themed games night event a few nights of the week, free gaming on most others, and a comedy night on Saturdays. The table charge is a nominal purchase. In feel this reminds me of the olden days game stores, where there was a sense of crossing frontiers, traveling into new worlds and new ideas. This place has a strong sense of plucky Temescal neighborhood individuality.

Update: the kids and young adults are back in goodly numbers. Numerous games have broken out in the back and the population...

Came here because I was told my ups package was here. When I arrived, the worker took a look at package slip, quickly checked and couldn't find my package, told me that ups was wrong and that my package wasn't his issue, and that I was lucky that he was providing this service. After spending almost an hour with ups, they confirmed my package was here. I went back to the worker and begged him to check again. After being yelled at, he finally checked the back again and found my package. I understand mistakes happen but and I hope I just caught him on a bad day but this experience made never...
