It's okay, honestly we just go here for the prices because we have a family of 6. What we don't like is that there isn't really family music in there, it's a lot of rap and honestly I really don't think that's ideal for a family with small children who can hear the vulgar words. Not too mention we have encountered SEVERAL rude employees, not too mention a 17 year old employee bragging about how he's constantly getting drunk and how he illegally buys alcohol. When we asked to speak to the manager about this employee we were told the manager was too busy to speak with us, so we we're absolutely blown away by this treatment. Not to mention, you have to bag your own groceries, even when my wife shops with all four of our kids nobody bags her groceries which is OBSURD. It is a grocery store which should be centered around customer service but I guess you can only expect the best when you go to Publix. Because shopping here IS...
Read moreAs far as cleanliness, location, prices and selection - and if you regularly shop at either Harvey's or Winn-Dixie (it's easy to tell, you have an online account) - this store in particular is hard to beat. Even stacked head-to-head against ANY chain including Publix! So why not 4 or 5 stars then? Well, the problem is the QUALITY OF THE LOCALS. THE CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES. I have been to Winn-Dixie and Publix and Albertson's and Walmart Superstores and Aldi's and Safeway (which I personally prefer) and Sav-a-Lot and this store HAS to be the biggest disappointment in recent memory. It's sad that such a fine opportunity to enjoy my grocery-shopping chores is destroyed by swarms of gibbering, hateful meatsacks that even other Floridians, New Yorkers and Canadians are ashamed to be associated with. Oh well. Look for the awesome discount hardcover (softcover too) book bargain-bin where one can snag three for...
Read moreAll shoppers beware! Check the expiration dates on EVERYTHING you buy from this store. They have had issues with leaving expired merchandise on their shelves for YEARS! Before they were Harvey's and were Winn Dixie they had this problem. Especially in the dairy section: cream cheeses, yogurts, eggs, sour cream. I have found juices on their shelves that were 1 and 2 months past their expiration dates. Recently I went for some pulled chicken in the Deli area and found both the Smithfield and Curly's brands of pulled chicken were nearly 2 weeks expired. EVERY SINGLE CONTAINER in their case, at least 8 of them; all expired on the 23rd or 24th of June and this was on July 2nd! You bring it to management's attention and they act like you've...
