It had been 2 months too long that i had neglected myself in terms of self-care. So I decided to finally get a mani / pedi from a local salon called Art Nails & Spa.
Art Nails & Spa is a local nail salon that offers manicures , pedicures and waxing. They are located in the Plaza Del Oro Shopping Center that is just south of the 76 Hwy, off of Frazee Rd. Also in this plaza is a 24 HR Fitness & a CVS.
Although Art Nails & Spa does accept Walk-ins, for the best service and the least waiting time, it is highly recommended that you Call-in and make a scheduled appointment. There are times when they only have 1 or 2 clients and times when it is entirely packed.
Another nice feature that they have is a rewards program. Simply check-in at the counter with your phone number and they log your visit with points. Earn points and over time, you can get Free services.
Their interior is organized and clean.
I love that they have tvs playing satisfying "foodie channels" playing soothing music for entertainment. But just like any salon, the customer service is friendly, inviting, caring & warm.
Make your appointment, have a seat, select a service plan, enjoy a beverage (cocktails & coffee available) and be treated to a delightful time, by staff that caters to your needs.
I chose a service that included a foot soak, leg massage, massage chair rubdown, sugar scrub, collagen foot mask, filing, trimming, adjusting, painting and of course, adding gel. This package also included a citrus rub, sea salt exfoliation, hot stones rub and a drink of my choice of an alcohol beverage.
I've never been disappointed here and the level of care surpasses that of other salons I have been to and what I most appreciate is the communication they have with their clients. They are always double-checking to make sure they give you exactly what you want and more importantly, they are gentle in the process and never forceful.
I highly recommend Art Nails & Spa for your...
Read moreI want to start by saying I haven’t been the most consistent client—when I’m in nursing programs I can’t have my nails done, so I tend to come and go. That being said, before the new ownership I was a very steady customer, coming almost weekly for quite a while. Chloe, who usually greets me at the front desk, is absolutely lovely and always makes me feel welcome!
However, I’ve had some mixed experiences with a few of the nail techs. My last two visits were with Stacy, and unfortunately, I left both times feeling disappointed. She was very rough with my nails and refused to cut them shorter, telling me, “I can’t paint your nails that short.” Wanting to avoid an awkward situation, I just went along with it. She also seemed distracted, paying more attention to others coming in the door than to my appointment. Both times I even walked out with paint on my fingers—not a huge deal since gel polish peels off within a day, but it still felt sloppy. Overall, I just felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a valued client.
To be fair, most of the staff here are great—I rarely have to wait, the salon is efficient, and Chloe (one of the owners) is beyond sweet. But because of my recent experiences with Stacy, I’m...
Read moreI wanted to love this place, however, I left spending $160 and after 3 days have had 3 fingernails (the gel not my actual nail) completely come off with normal use. 2 during a shower and 1 while typing on my laptop. I came in for a classic mani/pedi, and was talked into a $90 pedicure (with gel) because of dry heels, which was fine I didn’t mind the splurge on that. I then asked for the most basic manicure as I only wanted gel polish because I like my nails short for work and school. He then tried to talk me into getting the nail extensions because “long is better” and started measuring my nails and I had to tell him no. He then did what I’m assuming was builder gel under gel polish which was then $57. I came in on my birthday because I had neglected self-care during a move and I left and cried in the car. I didn’t want to do a review but I just feel like they need to know how upsetting it is when someone is clear in what they want and end up with the...
