I recently received an email from UEI College stating that I owe money for government student loans. This information is incorrect, as I do not owe any student loans. I contacted UEI to clarify and requested that they send a correction email, but they have refused to do so. I am disappointed by their unwillingness to correct a false claim, and I hope this issue is addressed to prevent similar problems for other students.
The school continues to demonstrate concerning safety issues for students. According to school policy, food and open drinks are not allowed inside classrooms. However, today I noticed a small table placed outside the classroom where students were leaving their drinks.
This practice creates a serious safety risk. Unattended drinks could easily be tampered with, including the possibility of being spiked with harmful substances. Considering that many of the students here are female, this is an especially troubling concern.
I raised this issue with one of the instructors, but the drinks were still left outside afterward. This should serve as a clear warning to all students: please be cautious with your drinks, as this situation creates an opportunity for abuse.
Unfortunately, the administration’s policies are contributing to an unsafe environment. Leadership should take responsibility for addressing this risk and ensuring better safety measures are in place.
This school has shown troubling patterns when it comes to student safety and support.
First, the school dropped a veteran student from class while he was in the hospital seeking treatment for alcohol addiction. There was no outreach, follow-up, or consideration for his circumstances, a deeply disappointing approach for any institution that claims to support veterans.
Second, after a weapons-related incident, the administration temporarily locked a single back entrance for three weeks. There was no transparency about this decision or any lasting safety plan. When I suggested posting an active shooter response plan in each classroom, they refused to act. You can do better.
Third, after a drug overdose last year where Narcan was used to save a student's life, I requested that Narcan locations be clearly marked on campus. It has now been over three weeks, and no signage has appeared.
These issues point to a lack of communication, responsibility, and commitment to student safety. Students and families deserve better.
To the President of UEI Oceanside,
When I submitted my complaint regarding the school, I expected a direct response from your office, not from my instructor. My concerns are not related to my instructor, and I believe they fall under your responsibility as the appropriate authority to address such matters. Redirecting the issue in this manner contributes to a sense of a hostile and unresponsive school environment. It is my hope that this issue prompts a thoughtful reassessment, as there is room for growth in how it...
Read moreI'm writing this review to warn others about what truly goes on at this school. My experience was filled with lies, stress, and complete lack of professionalism. If you're a veteran or a student seeking real education and support, please look elsewhere.
From the very beginning, the admissions, financial, career, and academic departments misled me. I was promised a legitimate hybrid program with on-campus instruction, but the school completely misrepresented my attendance and blamed VA. They reported false information that directly affected my VA benefits, and when I tried to get answers, I was met with blaming VA again, avoidance and excuses.
The curriculum is severely outdated, and they issued a cheap, barely functional tablet as part of the "Medical Office Specialist" program-then charged me for it. It was never used for any real educational purpose.
The learning environment was unsafe and disorganized. We practiced CPR on broken AED machines and damaged mannequins. I was told I'd be retrained when proper equipment arrived but that never happened. Most of the time, my classmates and I had to teach ourselves and our new teacher.
I felt genuinely unsafe and mentally drained whenever I came to this location. My original instructor was more focused on decorating for holiday parties and talking about her personal life than teaching. When she was replaced, the new teacher hadn't been trained at all, leaving us in the same situation--completely unsupported.
My externship was a mess. I requested a hospital setting and paid out of pocket for my drug test and background check. I submitted the request over five months in advance, but the school didn't lift a finger until four weeks before the deadline--long after it was too late to get a hospital placement. They knew this and still let it slide.
What's even more shameful is the way they treated veterans with disrespect and indifference. There was no support, no follow-through, and no accountability.
This school is not a real educational institution. it's a business built on scamming students and collecting tuition and VA benefits without delivering the education or training they promise. They will lie to your face, take your money, and leave you with nothing but debt and regret.
Do not trust this place. Whether you're a civilian student or a veteran using your hard-earned benefits, you deserve...
