Kensington Villas/Sunset Oaks Apartments — Local services in Ocoee

My girlfriend and I lived here for a year, this place is a waste of your time and money. We were broken into, we went to the office and told them of our concerns and the events that happened. The manager told us that “it's not their job to keep their residents safe.” We wanted to get into contact with the regional manager, they gave us her number and we called her but we never got a response, we left multiple voicemails and texts. It’s a farm there. Cats roam around like they own the place, chickens, as well as ducks. When we told them that we were broken into they never filed it into their system so when we wanted to move out they told us that we never approached them about it. They “misplace” paperwork and they’re extremely unprofessional. The only good thing I can say is that their maintenance team are great guys and they get the job done as soon as they can. The manger refused to speak with me about my moving out fees so I was forced to pay full rent when my lease was over on the 20th. This is the worst place to go. Please just save your time and money and find a better place to live...

Lived there from 2012-2017... At least 3 different management companies, the first didn't have our apartment ready, so they stuffed us into another unready one. Lazy/fickle maintenance, who'd show up, but fabricate an excuse to walk out on work orders. The first manager was vindictive, and would post fake eviction notices out of spite for our complaints. Years of hostility and nothing getting fixed. By the time we had to move ( they refused to renew our lease), our kitchen sink was detaching from the wall, mold, mildew, big holes in closet walls, roaches of ALL sizes (some hissed), opposums, cracking walls, hot water leaking into the walls/vents/floors, causing a high power bill for the first 2-3 years. We let our problems be known throughout the constant management changes, no one did nothing but disown having any responsibility for their predecessors... The repairs needed couldn't be done with us in there, and a transfer on GP wasn't happening. We have more in photo, video, and text. Cultural bias is also an issue over there. I have lived here since 2015 and recently moved. The first apartments managers A MESS and unprofessional, Ana she was too LOUD and disrespectful and Meagan was straight forward but rude so I'm not going to say that this is the best place to live nor will I recommend it for the younger generation however, if you've met Janet and her now assistant you know that they will do whatever they can to help you. When you think about the way you're suppose to be treated by people I can tell you Janet is the example of job well done. She didn't sign up for it but she deserves to be acknowledged for going above and beyond for me during the times I needed it the most. Everyone has a job to do so I understood all of her answers weren't going to be what I wanted to hear but she assured me that "trying" was her only option. My move out process was a breeze.
