Michaels — Local services in Ocoee

This store is so small 😥! I notice that this year with covid, the Halloween section hasn't been set up yet fully as to compared to the many other michaels. Last time I was here about a month ago, I started to see it slowly rolling in with a middle aisle cap of halloween ceramic lights. I came in yesterday trying to find items I couldn't buy online and they had only one main aisle of halloween palmistry/tarot line set up. There was also a vintage Halloween section, glam romantic goth and outdoor lights set up that were not fully stocked yet. And the items I were looking for, they were not set up on shelves yet to be displayed. Either this store just hasn't gotten any of their Halloween shipments yet or they aren't getting any. I go to this location alot as it is closer to me. The location is real nice and quiet. The employees that come and go all of the time are nice and helpful rather than the regulars who aren't so nice and aren't helpful. The selection is minimal due to the store being small. EXCELLENT CUSTOM FRAMING EXPERIENCE

I had a wonderful experience at Michael’s Custom Framing! Ashley took the time to really understand what I was looking for and walked me through different options for two special pieces—artwork from a Native Alaskan artist and another from Mt. Rainier. She was incredibly kind and thoughtful. One thing Ashley said really stood out to me—she mentioned how much she enjoys framing art from travelers because she gets to “travel through the artwork.” It was such a beautiful sentiment and made the experience even more meaningful. Tammy did the actual framing, and the finished pieces were absolutely beautiful—just what we were hoping for. She made sure everything was ready on time and was also so kind and helpful. This review is for the framing department. Ordered my frame on the 18th for an event on March 7th. I was told there was a 2 week turnaround, I checked back in 2 weeks later and they told me to come get it on March 6th at 5pm. That was cutting it close but still would work. I arrived for them to tell me it was not done and they had ordered the wrong frame. At this point I needed the art piece back regardless because it needed to be part of the show with our without a frame. They refused to give me a refund for a mistake they made in their end. Her logic was that the frame was already ordered so it can’t be refunded. Umm even if you ordered the wrong size? Anyway there is zero lack of communication on their part. You could have easily called and told me this instead of telling me to come get it. Waste of gas, waste of time.
