The Good, The Bad, The Ugly The Good This review is two-fold so I'd like to start with the good. Josh is one of the best things that could've happened to this location. He is patient, understanding, and more than determined to ensure the customer experience is pleasurable. I approached Josh in a bit of frustration after being conned to change cell phone providers and acquire 4 new devices (I'll get to the bad and ugly later). Although this return process would take more than an hour, Josh was up for the task. He never made me feel as though I frustrated or inconvenienced him. He was honest and clear and informed me about the process every step of the way. The supervisor on duty was also great and although I was disappointed with the situation, they made my return experience great and vowed to assist me in the future, if needed. Make sure you ask for Josh when visiting this location. He's awesome!
The Bad/Ugly Now, don't get me wrong, the employees overall are very charming and nice, even the one that I'll discuss in a moment. However, if I hate anything on this earth, it's a liar and a manipulator. After visiting this location to get a phone upgrade, Steven, told me that he could save me money (because my cellular bill is expensive) if I switched to Sprint. Now, of course, I didn't jump on this deal because I know that there's always a catch. So I returned later that evening with my husband to discuss this further with him. We asked several questions yet he convinced us that we would save money, that the service was great, and that we'd have all of the perks that we had with AT&T. "The lies you tell Steven!" The next day, we experienced dropped calls; had to use the good old phrase, "Can you hear me now? during calls; and found out that our bill would be the same price that it always has been. What Steven failed to tell us is that if we switched carriers, we would not have the same services or perks that we had with AT&T. Once we switched and called Sprint to add on an equivalent package, the bill came out to be the SAME PRICE! What's the biggest difference you ask??? Now the service SUCKED!! Furthermore, during the process he said that he had to run a soft credit check, which would not affect my credit score nor show up on my credit report! "The lies you tell!" The sad part is that I asked him multiple times if a full report would conducted and told him that I was in the process of buying a home, so I couldn't afford to have anyone make inquiries at this time. Today, I received a notice from Sprint that they used EXPERIAN to run a credit check. WHAT THE ** STEVEN! The sad part is that he seemed to be a nice person that claimed he had nothing to gain for us switching carriers (unlike the people working at the Sprint store). Obviously you did because not only did you compromise your integrity and customer trust, but you potentially screwed up my opportunity to be a homeowner for the sake of a sale. Was it really worth it? I learned a huge lesson and may have consequences as a result. However, one thing I won't do is buy, renew, or conduct any cell phone related business with...
Read moreI live 90 miles away from the Ocoee outlet store, so I planned my day around buying a refrigerator. I walked into the store 2 hours later. There were four employees standing at the lectern or customer service counter. No one looked up from their phone, so I just started browsing. A few times, I asked an employee walking by a question. Each and every time, I got a finger pointing up with the statement that someone would be sent my way. I started writing down my questions, but no one ever came. Sixty minutes later, I just took a tag off a fridge and walked up front. I previously asked an employee if that's how it works, but he stuck up the give me a minute finger and said he was going to the bathroom. When I got to the counter with the tag, I was told that I was supposed to ask someone on the floor. I pointed to that same lecture at the front door and stated that the floor employees have not moved in the last hour. He asked, "did you try asking somebody?" I said yes, but reminded him that no one was on the floor. Anyway, he walked back to the fridge with me and got the info. he needed. After 10 minutes of trying to ring up my purchase, he called for a manager. Wouldn't you know it, the mgr was one of the people standing at the lecture. He came over, and 10 minutes later, I was told that someone bought it online. Can't help that, so I started looking again. The associate who tried to help me locate a fridge as most of the refrigerators had the wrong information attached. About another 45 minutes later, I found another fridge that I liked. Took the info to the counter. The associate walked back to the fridge to make sure everything was good and that he had what he needed. I was around my budget, I was glad my search was over, and I paid and left. About 30 minutes into the drive home, that associate called me and said he had bad news. He advised me that the fridge was marked with the wrong information, so he was cancelling my order unless I wanted to pay the difference. I reminded him that I scanned it with the app, and he scanned it with his gadget. He said, "remember I said that it was a good deal? That's because it was not the right price. I can use your same form of payment, but the difference is $1,600." I was calm, and I asked to speak to the manager, knowing that the mgr is one of the floor associates standing around looking at tik toks. The manager basically said I would have to pay $1600, or he was cancelling the order. I responded that I shouldn't have to do either as it's illegal to advertise a lower price. He said, "do you want it"? Said yes. He responded, "are you paying the difference?" I said no. He said he was canceling it and he hung up. I called Best Buy customer service. I was told sorry for my experience and I could go online and write a review. So, a eight-hour trip just to learn that the Best Buy Outlet in Ocoee sucks Saundra...
Read moreTerrible experience at Best Buy Store #443. Each person I spoke to knew less about the return policy. I was told I had 3 months (I have a witness) to return a Samsung TV. 65 days after purchase, they told me that it had already been 3 months. (Manager's name is Henry.) Both managers were terribly rude! They said there was nothing I can do. As I was saying I was told I had 3 months, he said you did have 3 months. So apparently, you don't need to know how to add or subtract single digit numbers to become a manager at best buy, since this purchase was just over 2 months. I called customer care who stayed on the phone with me for about an hour before talking to his manager and calling me back with a solution. He said Henry will do his best to assist me in returning it. I thanked Royce over the phone. When I called the store to find out when Harry was available, he did not come to the phone. He told Matt (who answered the phone) that I can't take it back since it's been more than 30 days. To be honest, I was surprised when Royce told me that Henry really wanted to help me, because he certainly was rude to my daughter and I. So I called customer care (again) and they took care of me with a reasonable solution. If you have a bad experience with this store, Customer Care seems to take good care of the incident and will escalate your issue. In this economy, no business needs to have employees like Henry or the other rude rotten manager. Actually there is no reason to even suffer at this store since there's a nicer, cleaner, more knowledgeable staff in Fowler's Grove.
I have never written a complaint on line, but Best Buy seems to get a lot of business. If you need electronics in that neighborhood, you will receive MUCH BETTER customer service and KNOWLEDGABLE sales people down the street at HH Gregg. Don't visit the Best Buy on Colonial. You will be sorry that you didn't just go to HHGregg. (HH Greg is sending over a technician to fix a TV for me. I don't even have to take it to the store.--you think best buy will do that?
I would have given this store in Ocoee a worse description than poor-fair. I think best buy might have to change this in order to receive accurate reviews of their staff and customer service. Skip this location and you won't regret it...
